Credit Card Address Change Fail
 

I reported my credit card lost got a new one in the mail activated it then changed the address (both billing/shipping) to the "stealth" address. [Also opted out of balance transfers/Mail Offers/statements in the mail incase your going to attempt this]. Waited 5 days before creating an ebay/paypal and adding the card. Created July 6, Suspended July 8. Listing never popped up in search.

Stealth guide followed to the letter.

Did I need to wait 31days+ for AVS to take effect? or could something else be the culprit?

No Bank Account was added yet.

You created an account on the 6th, and it was suspended on the 8th? What makes you think it has anything to do with the card?

My name is a common name (first and last), many people have it in the USA. I think 2-4 people have it in my area. Apart from that I am genuinely stumped.

Where did you get that idea from? (changing the address on the credit card).

That was a really bad idea and has the potential to cause issues with your credit rating.

The account suspension will have nothing to do with the card used.

For future reference use a VCC when making stealth accounts.

Agree with the bad idea but issues with credit rating on just changing address...perhaps clarify for OP.

I guess i'm going to have to wait two months to see if it gets on my credit report. Hopefully it won't due to the short amount of time it was there (not the day of the month they report hopefully). Thanks for the advice guys, you probably saved me from a future headache.
