Adding bank account to Paypal UK
 

Hi there

Been looking in the forum but cannot find a clear answer...

I purchased a stealth ebay + paypal account here (4 years ago) but I was not able to use it as I did not have a UK bank account to link it to...

Last 2 weeks I decided to get a transferwise and revolut card sent to my home address (not in the UK) as I thought I'd be able to add any of those to my account...

Now, I used to live in the uk but back to my home country for the last few years. So... I received the cards and was asking me to verify my number. As I did not have it, I deleted it and added a new UK number on the account.

THEN, I tried adding the bank details but I am getting an error message...

"we are sorry, we are not able to process your request, please try again later"

Do I need to wait a few days perhaps? Needless to say, the stealth account is not in my name. I would have called Paypal but the name on the account is an english one and if I call I am afraid to raise a red flag due to my accent...

Any ideas guys?

Changing number and adding bank account in immediate succession would mostly trigger a flag, especially on old account (in my experience).
As your docs are more than a year old, they might ask you for fresh docs.

I would do a lot of browsing if I were you and then add the bank account again after two weeks or more.

Give it a further two weeks before you withdraw to the bank account and make it a small amount.

Thanks for the advice mate :-) I will do that. Fortunately I never used it so there is no balance to withdraw... just wanted to start using this account which I never used...

Question though... it is not the problem of the card, right? it has got to do with Paypal?
