Low Cost Virtual Credit Card

So everyone keeps saying use entropay or simon.com virtual gift cards and I've actually used a simon.com virtual gift card but I see it being a HUGE waste of money using something like simon.com because the minimum you can preload onto the card is $20USD. I know for a fact that I'm not going to be using the card, the only reason I'm using it is for verifying my paypal account. So can someone please recommend me a good virtual gift card that allows me to preload a smaller amount onto the card such as $1.00USD? I've seen on the threads people have said they put $1.00 on their card but I cannot find a company that does that the only ones I see the minimum is $20. Anybody find any like this that work?

Thanks

$20 is not a lot of money, plus you can use it to purchase things you need with it and get this back... You can also buy from yourself from another account. $20 does not have to stay $20 forever. It just requires some work... I don't think you will find cards for less than that.

If its not that much money, then what happens if you want to open 10 backup accounts? $200 is not a lot of money?! anybody have any other alternatives?

Using VCC's will probably be the cheapest method for you.

I'm not saying that I'm looking for an alternative to VCC's but what I'm asking is where can I get a VCC that you can load a smaller amount than $20 per VCC?

Is it not possible to create new VCCs from an existing one with entropay US? If so that initial $20 can create several sub cards.

entropay does not work in the USA. Its usage is stopped to comply with US Federal Gaming laws. Canada allows entropay. :ranger:

Can't you use the $20 on the card to pay for some ebay fees?

Please someone correct me if I am wrong but most VCC are only good for a few months....Simon's were good for well over a year last time we used them on top of they can be used to verify multiple ebay accounts attached to 1 PP account.......so $20 is nothing and actually cheaper in the long run.

Plus if ebay tries to pull from that card you can go back and re-enter it into ebay at a later date and it re-verifies the account without buying another card and without having money come out when you don't expect it...

ok, see that makes more sense, you're saying that you can link multiple ebay accounts to 1 paypal account? In that case that might be a little better. And Ya I realized entropay can do that, I just wish that they offered that to us people in the US. One other question, its a little off topic, but for those of you in Canada and UK, is the entire ebay auction listings system tied together where people in Canada and UK have their listings show up in the US version of the site or is it on their complete own system where all US listings are seperate from Canada and UK listings?

Thanks again, I know I'm a noob ;)

not sure what your saying exactly but from my understanding and I could be wrong you go to the site you want to sell the item on and then you have the option to ship/sell to other countries when setting up your shipping options for the auctions and that will then post it on the other countries websites as well. So you pick and choose what countries the item will show up in. I am not sure if ebay tries to cross promote without you asking them too when using their search engine.....sorry if I missed the mark on the response.

ok, that actually did answer my question. I'm really stuck however on the VCC thing because after seeing how entropay allows you to move the balance of the card to other cards that you create I've fallen in love, however since I'm in the USA I cannot get it..but I'm unable to verify if simon giftaccounts are able to do this. Has anyone tried? I called their customer service and they were pretty clueless as well. Has anyone ran into any USA based prepaid card that allows you to transfer the balance of an existing card to a new one like entropay? I've been google searching all day and I only seem to find simon.com

I also saw a thread on here that has some of the US alternatives but now I'm unable to find it :( can anyone point me in the right direction or give any advice there?

Thanks

I Really laugh at your post. I get $25 Gift Cards on a regular basis. Add to paypal sell on ebay then use the funds from the card to ship items. LOL. I use that for each account. $200 isnt much when you have 10 accounts that you sell $200 on it every 2 weeks!

dirtbikedude 10-29-2009 05:07 PM

LOL alright sorry I'm just trying to cut costs where necessary :) I'm glad my post could put a smile on your face lol :)

Umm...... first off, you can use for shipping. Also, at $20 a card, with say 20 backups, its only $400.00. You can make $400 easily in a day with all those accounts. Use 6 at a time and save 14 for later. The costs of the card is your investment to progress your sales and neutralize your competitors. If you can't spot out up to $500-750 of initial cost upfront, please find another business venture. Also don't just let your accounts rest for too long, make it work for you and get sales. Get those accounts to at least 5 feedback for BIN listings and 10 if you want a yellow star. I myself wait till I reach the 50 star mark to go crazzy with llistings, but get the accounts to a decent level to get all the options of the listing formats.
