Just need some quick feedback. I went ahead and setup a new paypal account and provided my ing direct savings acct infomation for small deposit verification.... If those 2 deposits go thru fine then my paypal acct should befine as well ?
Has anyone else tried this recently?
Thanks |
| doughboykilla | 01-02-2010 07:58 PM | You will be fine. you just useing it to verfiy pp or to w/d to? |
| waterproof | 01-02-2010 08:54 PM | I could stand to be corrected, but don't forget that by having an ING account, they have ALL 'True' & 'Legitimate' information in your account about you including your SSN.
This may not even be an issue for you and I'm sure that you know, just wanted to run that by you. :peace:

Thanks | May not be fine. There have been cases where the x2 deposits go into the account. All looks OK but some days later paypal reverses everything. Know of at least 3 iNG accounts that had this. Remote chance of working..if you are lucky :peace: |
| doughboykilla | 01-02-2010 10:49 PM | I never had any problems on paypals ends useing ING. It was always ING that gave me problems with there dumb name matching policy. Never had pp reverse anything neather.
Funney thing is theres a ING banner plasterd on ebay so surely ebay and paypal know that some of there customers is going to use ing and probly use it for ebay and paypal needs. |
| theone83 | 01-03-2010 10:57 AM | hey Dough
Im planning to withdrawal too? what do u think? |
| theone83 | 01-03-2010 11:02 AM | its funny when I entered the routing number "ING Direct" showed as the bank on paypal when signing up for account, so im guessing they must do business now.
Also when planning to withdrawal funds to ING from paypal. Is it a handshake method where both parties have to agree on the transaction? |
| aspkin | 01-03-2010 11:12 AM | I haven't had any problems with ING in awhile, as mentioned before, as long as the name on your ING account and PayPal match or are similar there will be no problems. |

and its the same with ing as other banks when u w/d before 2pm that same day on paypal the money will be in ING in 2 days time its same as any other bank. |
| vigilantex69 | 01-03-2010 04:29 PM | I tried to use ING last year and they will NOT take accounts from paypal accounts with different names. I opened an account and linked it and got a phone call from them like 20 minutes later saying they were rejecting the account. |
| Joules | 09-02-2010 08:43 AM | I came across this same issue... just opened a ING Direct bank account, attempted to link my paypal account (which name doesn't even come close to matching mine) and the transfer got reversed, now its back in my paypal account. What bank account doesn't care about name matching? |
| dennisjaneway | 09-02-2010 05:27 PM | BoA Suntrust, Chase, Wachovia....... |
| aspkin | 09-02-2010 05:31 PM | As mentioned several times ING does not like mismatched names.. come on guys.. |
| keepitup | 09-03-2010 09:19 PM | I opened an ING and a Paypal account about 3 months ago and just verified the PP account with the ING account recently and made a withdrawal a couple of days ago but the money is not there yet..hopefully it will get there tomorrow.
Also, I noticed that I still have a limitation of $500 withdrawal. I need to verify a credit card but I dont want to enter my SSN. Does anybody have any ideas on how to accomplish that? |
| dennisjaneway | 09-04-2010 07:35 AM | normally ING dont deposit money on saturday, and think about Labor Day at monday, so next deposit is on tuesday!
for me it worked on paypal, to say that i dont want give them my SSN, they asked then for other ID-Documents! |
| Sandy D | 09-10-2010 08:52 AM | I use Ing and have no problems at all.
You use your real name to get started etc.
Then create a few sub accounts under it and they will give you a new account no. etc.
The only issue with Ing is they do not like money being transferred between accounts and do not like a ton of withdraws in a month.
I got an email what said you have met you limit of withdraws for the month. it was 6, so now I let it build up and transfer larger amounts at one time.
So far so good for me with Ing.
Just do not overuse the account and you will be fine. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-15-2010 01:03 AM | In my opinion ING is not worth the hassle. Their security department called me. They reversed the transfer and shut me down. names were very close. I even had sub accounts with exact name matches on some accounts. It CAN Work but not worth it to me to deal with their arrogant security dept that acts just like paypal arrogant security dept. |
| willowpointe | 01-02-2011 04:20 AM | Will ING allow the 2 verification deposits with a non-name matching paypal account? |
| First Edition | 01-02-2011 05:50 AM | read the rest of the thread please
the answer is no! |
It's not hard to just use your real name... no alteration or changes needed.... paypal won't ban you on name alone |

the answer is no! | I logged into my ING Direct account today and noticed that I receieved my deposits for both my name mismatched account. |
| First Edition | 01-03-2011 08:18 PM | Sure, they'll allow it for a bit, but you'll have that ING account closed down (most likley) the second you start moving any kind of real amount of money |
| willowpointe | 01-04-2011 01:19 AM | I am just using ING to verify the account. Less paperwork. When it's time to start taking out that real money I will use a chase/boa account. |
| First Edition | 01-04-2011 09:40 AM | That's not a good idea. You're putting your entire ING account at risk. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:54 PM. | |
