Paypal bank deposit with bank of america

Ok a few days ago I set up a ebay account and paypal account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names. I added my savings to paypal to deposit and confirm my BOA (real name). But 5 days later I still havent received the 2 small deposits. Is anyone else having this same problem?

I also noticed that for a BOA savings account there is 2 different routing numbers one for paper and electronic transfers and one for wires transfer. I added the paper/electronic routing number to paypal. Should I have done the wires routing number?

Also I noticed that there is a nickname option for BOA accounts. I beleive that I changed that to the name on ebay and paypal.

Any info would be great, Thanks guys.

The electronic routing number is the right one. What day did you add the account to paypal? Very likely it was delayed because of the holidays and now the weekend.

Just make sure you have the account number and routing number correct in paypal, if you do, the deposits will more then likely show up. :typing:

Hey dood! Yeah I do beleive that it may have been delayed because of the holidays then the weekend. But I thought that all those things were all automated?

I also have online banking with them and I could had done the instant verification, but I was a bit leary because I had done that with a paypal that has been suspended? In the future would it be wise to avoid doing that ever again with paypal? Or maybe changing my bank ID and password would help?

Thanks again man!

They are automated, but still on Holidays and weekends most banks are closed.

There are several threads discussing the instant verification. Use the search button, read the threads, and you decide if you want to take the risk or not. :thumb:

so i think bank of america is one of the banks that does not do name verifiaction for deposits from paypal. is this true for the checking and savings accounts? it seemed to work for you on the savings account but i am curious if it is the same for checking.

also any benefits to using savings instead of checking account. thanks - oh yeah congrats on the transfer going through

Yes, it's the same for checking and savings with bank of america.

Yeah in one of my accounts, I use a completely different name, and it's been working just fine. BOA is awesome.

I currently have 41 ebanking checking accounts open with them. The approval process for opening online is way faster than it was this time last year.

SaiJin 12-08-2010 10:06 PM

41?? That's a bit much, don't you think

First Edition 12-08-2010 10:11 PM

No. That's only with bank of america. Not including ING, Chase, Suntrust, US bank, and several local banks. That's also personal bank accounts also...I have lots more business bank accounts.

How do you keep up with all this stuff while also dealing with the ebay/PP accounts you create/verify/sell??? Just wow!

Titles mean nothing.

It's all about the account balance(s).

How long will these deposits take with bank of ameica? I just sent them through this afternoon.

The reason I ask is because I am waiting to take in payment from someone and want this confirmed ASAP.

Thanks!

Bretton

They take 2-3 business days.

Operating in a rush with paypal will get you shut down quicker than anything else.

Be patient.
