Can I use the same routing numbers but different account numbers?
 

I'm wondering if I have checking and saving accounts. Can I apply them to 2 paypal? They have the same routing number....Is it gonna cause any trouble later on??

Same routing number is fine, all you need is a different account number. :typing:

Nope won't cause problems - they are SEPARATE accounts with SELF numbers.

Routing number is just an identifier for that specific bank location.
They ban the routing number, they ban the entire bank lol

What if you are using same last name for both accounts, just different first name, and same zip codes for addresses and etc.? Does it get too close for comfort using the same routing numbers as well?

A banks routing number has nothing to do with your name, the routing number is your banks identification code.

I know that the routing number is a bank identifier only... my concern is that you have too many factors that are the same, in this case Last name, Zip code, Routing Number, etc. etc. etc... At what point does Amazon say enough is enough? I'm sure on it's own, any of these things being the same between two accounts could be viewed as a simple coincidence, but 9 out of 10 exactly same factors maybe would make them wonder?? I only say this because I had one stealth AMZ account linked about 3 months ago about 20 minutes after I entered the banking info in it, with Routing number same as a previous AMZ account. Maybe it was a simple coincidence as well, who knows, it just made me think that maybe matching routing numbers on top of other 3-4 similar things may raise red flags in their book.

Where an account may get reviewed manually, similar info might be dangerous.

After entering your banking info, did you have a WORKING credit card with funds on it to deal with an AZ test charge? I doubt seriously that routing numbers would link - think about how many people use the same bank on Az...

No way it is the routing number.

A new account number will work for you.

Just make sure everything you do is all new and you will be fine.
