Need help on prepaid mastercard
 

Hi everyone

As im so tired of being limited by paypal so i just bought a prepaid mastercard from woolworths, it cost me $2.95 for the card and an other minimum load $20

I create a new paypal account and use it to verify, after the linking process, paypal told me they withdraw $2 from the card and will put 4 digit number in the transaction so that i can use it to get verify

However, when i check the transaction in the card,it look so simple , it show the transaction id and the amount $2 paypal withdraw but i haven't seen any 4 digit code from paypal, without the code i can't get verified
i don't know if i can call up to the card service and ask them the code which i use to verify with paypal, do i get suspicious?

I don't know if its because of the transaction in the card look simple which can't show the code or...any one have expericence with it, please advise me

further question, the card only cost $2.95 but the load money cost too much $20, i want to ask if we could buy the card and don't load it, can we use it to verify straight away, this mastercard i bought from woolies don't have any verification process such as id verify,just enter the card number and check the balance.

1. Yes you can call up the card service and they will tell you - it's like a transactino verification - they MUST cooperate with cardholder.

2. You need a card with at least $3.00 - I would suggest $5.00 to be safe but sadly - yes gift card minimums are usually 20...25 even.

If you look around the forum, you can find reputable sellers of cards to verify paypal/ebay/amazon, etc.

So it means i have to load the card before use, can't just buy the card without loading to verify paypal?

As the card is not rechargable and paypal withdraw $2 with promise will refund it back after the verification,i was wondering if paypal would limited the account as they can't refund the $2 back to the account

Other question, the card is just use to verify, however to withdraw money from paypal we'll need to add bank account, i just wonder in the case we have negative balance, if paypal can't withdraw money from the card, will they try from the bank account?

Any prepaid card in australia could receive fund?

Any prepaid card must have funds on it to use for paypal. Why? Because paypal take money from that card. The transaction will not work if there is no money and if the card is not activated.

I agree that's a lot to fund a card but if you want to make money, you spend it to get started :pop2:

i just went through the same thing...always have the minimum loaded on there..When you think about it, you aren't losing money, just putting it in a different place. Also, wait a few days and i think that amount wll show up..I'm doing the exact thing you are right now

However When i rang up the card company and ask them about the 4 digit code from paypal put in the transaction, they told me they don't see it

Can you advise me any prepaid card in australia which i could use and receive 4 digit code from paypal to verify account

@lucasing, can you sign in to the account? There should be a statement that you can look at on line? Have you tried that? How many days ago was paypal account made? Sometimes it takes 36 hours or longer to show up:pop2:
(I cant do that right now on this computer or I would check my own account)
