Dear xxx,

An electronic funds transfer from your PayPal account to your bank account was declined by the bank. Typically, this happens for one of the following reasons:
> - The bank account number does not exist or is otherwise invalid
> - The bank branch listed in your PayPal account does not exist
> - The bank does not accept electronic withdrawals
> - Other reasons not specified by the bank
>
> Before attempting another withdrawal to your bank account, please check that you have the correct information from your bank, and update it in your PayPal profile if necessary.

Which bank? Possibly a non-acceptance on their part - some banks do flag accounts for Paypal reception.

why are people here saying they must match always?

i have done a few accounts with the last name being the same as the metabank and the first name is different then the one on metabank and it always work 99 percent of the time.

Well, not 100% match but as you mention somewhat match yes, that IS the case.

Just like with ING online savings accounts, they're the same way.

Didn't we all decide metabank is a no no with paypal? I thought this has been discussed before....

The name has to match, or a variation. And the bad part, not only will paypal shut you down... so will the bank.

Your saying that its a no go? but im saying it is a go because i have a few stealth that dont match the name on netspend and its doing fine with transfers. So are you saying that at some point paypal will shut you down and netspend also? keyword: at some point is what im referring too...

Haven't we established Metabank as one where name matching is required?

What other reasons can you think of the deposit to get rejected?

Well works a few times so it has to be classified as a taking risk so 50/50, but it will go through or it might not with risk.

virtual bank account.... what exactly do you think that is?

I have over 130 bank accounts in my name, and almost 300 in various companies and entities.

My accountant makes a good living.

lol, im too young for too many actual bank accounts for having that many. i prefer the prepaid cards which give you a virtual bank account since i wont be doing this forever. nice to know you have 130 plus a ton more lol.

It can be troublesome for users who want to keep their paypal accounts active to use netspend/metabank.
