Checking debit cards.....read on...

Lets say I have a wachovia bank on a atelth pp. and get the debit card in the mail. Could I use that card for pp cc verification? Or does pp pull the cc info? I thought they check by zip code? Maybe I'm confused right now lol

I myself have never tried it but I THINK there was a thread about this and people said you could. Now this was awhile ago and we all know how fast ebay/paypal change policies. Try it and see what happens and/or do a search on the forum is really all I can tell ya.

For PP verification I think the Last name and the address have to be match the stealth account

Credit card and debot card transactions only match on house number and zip code. So, what they match on looks like this:

Stealth User
123 Main St
New York, NY 12345

For more information, they must contact the card issung bank - and usually they will not give out customer information.

And YES, debit cards will work for verification IF the house number and zip code match. I use this method often.

This is correct - AVS can only confirm the numbers in an address.
