Is there a reason to use a VCC for ebay, when I can just VCC a linked paypal account?

Not sure what you mean? A cc is required for ebay thus the use of a vcc.

Meaning if I add a vcc to my paypal account and link that I can just sell without a ebay vcc.

I guess it's better to not link the PP account to my ebay in case one goes down?

You can use the same VCC for your ebay that you used for your paypal.

It's not the best of ideas to link the eb account to pp for auto-withdrawal. There are various logical reasons - which I won't go into since there is a beautiful long and well-informed thread already out if you wish to search it.

You actually do not need to have a credit card attached to ebay to sell. You can use paypal as a payment method, a credit card, or a bank account as a payment method to pay seller fees. Even with paypal, you still dont need a credit card attached if you use a bank account attached to it.

If you use paypal to pay fees with ebay you will be required to have a bank account or a credit card (or both) attached to paypal. Keep in mind, some vcc's will work for paypal, but will NOT work for ebay. You have to create a billing agreement with ebay to pay your seller fees, from the above mentioned methods.... rsot is right, this has been discussed many times, but there isn't a set method that works better than any other.

If you use paypal to pay fees automatically, your selling limits will be higher, and after a certain amount you will be required to link a verified paypal account. I think it's about 200 dollars in fees before they want a bank account attached paypal.... I could be wrong about that.
