Walmart PP visa card
 

hey guys i just got a walmart prepaid visa card.

my question is how to i activate it? i understand that its a bank and i have to give them my real info. but when i open up another pp account what do i put my name as?
my name on the card will be JOSHUA. so can i register my name on my paypal with JSHUA or JOSH or some sort of type-o for my name? or just register a fictitious name?

can somebody walk me through this please?

That is not recommended for pp.. PP does not like prepaid banks.. Several reports of pp removing them and saying to add a real bank.

I believe the number Walmart allows you to have the with the same info is 2.

No prepaid bank is recommended. You need to use a real bank account like Bank of America, Chase, etc.

Does that mean no more Virtual Bank Accounts?

I have used WM card for YEARS now, no problems, last year w/d 20k/acct over 3 different cards. THIS year will have to be spread even more.

VBA's are not prepaid banks, so no it doesn't affect them, they work fine.

Irule22, PP accounts that have had a prepaid bank on file for a while are usually safe. It's in the beginning when pp doesn't "trust" you yet, that they remove them and request a real bank.

lakeman how long would it have to be on file to be considered "SAFE" (i.e. can we open a couple sleeper account with a wm card let it age for a 3-6 months then use the account?)

There is no set amount of time that is completely safe. Several people have had the prepaid bank removed by pp even after they've been withdrawing for months.

It's not worth the hassle, just add a real bank.

I've used these cards before with no problems withdrawing until just yesterday. Paypal removed these cards from 2 of my accounts. They say it is random...so I will always try this card FIRST and if it doesnt work I will THEN link a real bank account. I dont know WHY they would remove it considering they are IN BED with Greendot and there is a minimum that can be withdrawn from paypal a month ($1000)
