Gift2go.net visa gift card no longer works for Paypal
 

Last week, I purchased a gift2go.net visa gift card for Paypal verification (so that the $500/month withdrawal limit can be removed) and Paypal says the card cannot be accepted.

So, I guess Gift2go.net is dead as far as Paypal is concerned.

My question is, what other gift card is good with Paypal right now? Vanilla gift card? or any other?

Do you have enough funds in the card so paypal could authorize it ?

also u have to reg the card before even using on pp

it's a new card with $25 balance. Yes, I registered the card at gift2go.net with all the matching info before I used it on Paypal.

Did I miss something? Can anyone verify that Gift2go.net card is no longer good for Paypal?

i always just buy a VCC from LAKEMAN on here. he has great prices and has always been good to me. i would just use them. it will save you time and you will have the security that the card will work everytime too.

Gift2go worked for me a week ago, but did the same thing to me... turns out its just like greendot u have to wait an hour after you purchase it to use it. Try it now!

o yeah it dose take like a hour to start working. u cant even use a crad u just bought to buy other things with same thing will happen

These cards are not working to set up a new paypal account. Tried back and hour later, and a day later. No Good.

I used them just the other day no problem what so ever.

I'm about to get one of these prepaid cards from walgreens if they have them. I wonder if it still works?

Same thing happened to me but I also need to wait an hour. I got about 40 mins left so I will update afterwards to let everybody know if it works or not! Wish me luck! It was a b_tch to find.

It worked!!! Im so glad. For anybody that wants one, I got it from Walgreens. Be aware that it doesnt say Gift2go.net on the front. There are a couple diff ones, one says Congratulations and another is like Happy Birthday ($25 and $50) So make sure to look on the back for the URL!

This card, imo, is waaaay better than a reloadable debit card. The reason being that it never expires and you arent forced to use it. With the reloadables you get charged a monthly fee and sometimes even a non-use fee. If you dont use it within 1 month then they charge you! Netspend is the worst!!! They charge $1 on EVERY transaction. So let's say that paypal verifies with a $1.95 charge, then they would charge you $2.95. So you get back the $1.95 but you lose that dollar. Not to mention they have the worst customer service ever. Good luck guys!

It still works for me.... you must be doing something wrong.

I once purchased and registered a gift2go card, and right afterwards they froze the card and kept my money saying I needed to provide ID to prove the card belonged to me. Thats gift2go for ya.

Maybe the cards depend on the expiration date?

Should of ask this question before using it or waisting your monies. Because, these cards are flag by paypal, in addition to them knowing you are using a prepaid card. Gift2go was banned according to a paypal rep., I merely used one because I got it as a gift, and after a few tries, I phone paypal and was told it does not work.

The last PP account I opened, 2 days ago, I DID have an issue with the gift card.

I attempted to use an Gift2go gift card. Paypal told me that the charge would not go through & to try a different card.
Then I attempted to use a new & different Gift2go gift card. Paypal told me that the charge would not go through & to try a different card.
Then for the 3rd try I used a VCC and it went through with no issues.

So at lease for that 1 account I can say that PP no longer accepts Gift2go gift cards.

I will try it again next time I open a new account and see what happens then.

I can also confirm that the Gift2Go.net/Awards2Go.net gift card does NOT work.

I can confirmed, as of Jan 9th, 2013, Gift2go cards still DO works for Signup with paypal.
But not for lifting paypal limit.
I've cards with 4/20 and 8/21 exp date. Both work for PP signup. However, I've tried the 4/20 card to lift pp limit but was unsuccessful. I've not trie the 8/21 yet so not sure if it will work or not.

Yep same here. It worked to confirm on ebay and paypal. But when i try to lift the $500 withdrawal limit it doesnt work.
