Prepaid VISA (GiftCardMall.com) vs Vanilla VISA (very important!!)
 

I noticed many threads on Vanilla VISA but couldn't find one on VISA (non-Vanilla Visa, but a regular Prepaid "VISA Debit Gift Card").

Some notable points: for Vanilla VISA, you can no longer register your name/address, only zip code.
But for this another type of Prepaid VISA which I bought at STAPLES officestore recently, you just register at web addy: mygift.giftcardmall.com/mygift/ and input name/full address/tel #/zip code.

Haven't used it yet to see if it works to pay Ebay seller fees..

But wanted to distinguish between the two different Visas/Prepaid.

very nice - at first I thought I was losing my mind haha! I got my vanilla last sunday, registered it but it only asked for zip. Was approved and no issues - glad I didn't miss a step though!

I have the exact same card you mentioned. Have you tried lifting limits on a paypal account with that?

yeah these worked staples has 2 types and both work fine on paypal im not sure about ebay though

did you say the vanilla worked as well to verify pp?

It can work well.

Maybe this thread should be moved to the subscription area, at the very least. These gift card mall cards have worked for years and we wouldn't want eBay and PP shutting them down.

I read teh FAQ and it says those are not reloadable... so how much do they cost to buy at Staples?

I know of the card you're talking about, they work for all. I've been using them for a while. They are a Metabank card just FYI for those who fear the big M. However, I have not had problems.
