Address Verification, Ebay, and Credit Cards

First of all, I cannot tell you guys how grateful I am to find this site. I have been pouring over it for the last several days. I see Modee and TheLizardKing as almost permanent fixtures with a wealth of knowledge.

I really hate even being here. I have always been a play by the rules type of guy. Likewise, I also hate bullies and those who unfairly restrict individuals rights. Let face it, EBay is a monopoly, with a Big Brother attitude right out of 1984.

I have a question I hope have not been answered lately. Please forgive me if I simply have not done my research properly.

1. Many companies run a credit card and do an address verification at the same time. (i.e. Verify by Visa) In other words, you input both your CC number and your address and their servers verify the information before letting you purchase. (I believe this is a fraud prevention security procedure)

By purchasing a prepaid Simon Visa or Vanilla Visa, I am assuming there in no address involved. Likewise, does EBay simply not verify credit card adrdess information?

Thanks,

Todd

Welcome to the forum. We are all such great fans of ebay here. NOT. You are
actually answering your own questions. I suggest that you read the threads
again....again & OK, I will not say it. All the answers are there. If you need more
depth, then I recommend the members' subscription. Good Luck.

Research

Thanks for your quick reply. Do to your response, I did split this question into two different threads. I hope this will minimize issues experienced members have with my inexperience.

I would like any actual experiences forum members have had as a result of the recent (month old) changes EBay has just announced. A post that is six months old, will definately give some useful information, but also probably does not apply to the change Ebay made yesterday.

Within these posts, there is a lot of conflicting information. I always do a multitude of research, which includes asking for today's changes. I hope you understand my need to stay current.

Thanks for your input,

Todd
