bank freedom seems to be crossed off the list...

Dear prepaid customer:

You were notified in early july that if you decided not the activate your new bank freedom card, you would be receiving a letter in august regarding the wind down of your existing card program. If the back of your card states issuance by metabank, that card program is being discontinued.

The following information will be helpful to you prior to that date.

No payroll loads/deposits will be accepted or applied to your prepaid card account after friday september 2, 2011

please notify your employer immediately to discontinue payroll deposits to this card account.

There is more to the letter, but, it is just about bill pay options with the card.

Got it in the mail today and it seems that Met a bank wants nothing more to do with pp and dds?

Never heard of them in the UK but if you think about it can you blame them?

heh, I guess you are right as always.

I guess it is just a heads up for other US card holders to watch out.

The thing is, they seem to have gone down pretty quick and were a really good company.

Oh well, back to the pre-paid drawing board!
