1 . i am thinking of investing in a simons (visa not american express) gift card willl this verify my paypal or will that just lift the withdraw/sending limits on my account

No it will not, I have tried it less than a month ago and they do not work anymore with ebay.. sorry :( I'm still looking for a card myself that will work

doesn't amex, entropay or visa gift card work?

Visa gift card works, did it a little more than a week or two ago.

AMEX is a credit card company, saying "AMEX works" pretty much refers to all credit cards issued by AMEX

Entropay should only be used for spending if your account is already verified. Never attempt to verify your account using entropay.

SOME gift cards may still work for verification, but most are blacklisted by now. You can still spend it using paypal nevertheless.

I did a Visa gift card 2 days ago and all went great :)

Amex is hit and miss - depends on card.

Vanilla Visa still works on the large part - some of them do fail.

EP is dicey - folx still use it but pp seems to be very wise on this for North Am users - I have not made an account with EP in a bit but...figure I can try and report back next week. Might need a nudge around Wednesday heh.

Me? Sometimes pp account - sometimes prepaid card. Best is to use prepaid card but I go against the grain here and there.

yeaa i learned the hard way u need a debit prepaid card not a gift card to verify paypal
also u need a good debit card that will accept direct deposit under ste*** names the gift card only lift your sending limits .. which they give you a 2000 sending limit ...which aint gona last long ..........

what do I need to do? In Australia...Get a debit pre-paid card? I have a debit card, but eBay will not accept it?
