| | | Athletichunta | 06-29-2012 11:02 PM | I opended a new bank account today for ebay, can I use the debit?. Do I have to use a prepaid?. Or will the debit they gave me work fine?.
Won't they be able to link me due to the name on the debit card?. Also when or I get a prepaid card does it matter what name is on the card or do i have to use my stealth name?. Thanks |
| crafty1 | 06-30-2012 03:36 AM | Your bank acc needs to be in your real name and NO PP can't see your bank details unless they make the withdrawal.
Its worth by the ebay guide book and browsing through the forum.......
Most of your question will be answered |
| Sandy D | 06-30-2012 02:15 PM | Take the time to read through several pages in this section and you would not need to ask this question.
They do not see your info. |
| Elijah | 06-30-2012 02:18 PM | You both overlooked the debit card question. Anyway the answer to that question is, if this is a stealth account then no you should not use a debit card provided by the bank. PayPal will verify the details and see that the information that you gave them does not match... you will not be able to use it. Prepaid cards and virtual credit cards will work, yes, as PayPal will not be able to verify your details. |
| biggunn | 06-30-2012 02:21 PM | Eb/PP do not see the name on the card. You can use your stealth name. But the house number and zip code will need to match. |
| yotano211 | 06-30-2012 02:25 PM | What are you talking about that paypal will verify the details about some bank account. By US law, banks can not release any info on any bank user, can you saw class action lawsuit.
The only thing paypal can verify is the two small deposits they make or by instant verify. You put in your user name of your bank account and maybe password and/or any security questions.
Paypal only sees the transaction code of the bank account user.
@OP, any prepaid debit card in the US has to be verified by SSN. So you have to use your real info. And don't be using any persons detail, that is ID theft. Prepaid debits cards act like real bank accounts so they need to verify who you are. |
| biggunn | 06-30-2012 02:38 PM | I was under the impression the OP meant they wanted to use the debit visa from their new account rather than getting a gift card or vcc.. |
| GrannyT | 06-30-2012 03:03 PM | It doesn't matter which he uses - his bank will not share information with Paypal that is illegal. As has been said - postcode etc must match up

I use a debit card on a stealth account using a PO Box and a variation of the name.
It can be done but you really have to know what you are doing.
Suggest you use a gift card or buy a vcc from one of our sellers here to get started. |
| yotano211 | 07-01-2012 02:56 AM | sorry biggun, I was talking to the other person. |

By that I mean the accidental/incidental sharing of information.
It was the practise to use a gift card, made in the name & address of the stealth account....
Such a practise gave a layer of protection for users.
In other words good stealth practises happen.
That be my .2 cents:brushteeth: |

How are you using a debit card with such an address, if it was issued by your bank? Or is it a prepaid one? |
| steve70000 | 07-06-2012 03:17 PM | i got a paypal account in a diffrent name than my bank account,
and transfer my money to the bank account with my real name.
but when i set the transfer up put the false name of my paypal account on
and if the numbers match it should be ok.
i dont think they can check the name and address of the bank account.
and if they did the bank would not tell them.
had a few checks with entropay and accounts closed as they could not conferm my name and address.entropay would not give them that info.. |

I find this thread really confusing (and potentially worrying!)
The OP is really vague- "can I use the debit"- to do what? withdraw funds?
once stealth pp transfer has successfuly landed in (real) bank acct with real name, it's fine to withdraw it from the cash machine of that bank using the debit card given for that very account.....right?! |
| mirus | 07-12-2012 03:08 PM | It is indeed very confusing hearing different things from different people |

Go with the advise of more experienced people here who have had a long experience running stealth accounts...
And go with the conservative route... never wrong. |
@mirus, whats confusing you? |
| crafty1 | 07-19-2012 02:09 PM | Don't start him/her off............

@mirus, whats confusing you? | Hi
I have completed pretty much everything now in creation of my first ebay stealth account!
I just now need to know what info I would give to a pre paid card company like entropay. In the ebay stealth book it says you can use a made up address, name etc but I heard from this other poster on this forum that these companies require your real details.
Please help me on this last part of the process.
Thanks |
| crafty1 | 07-19-2012 03:37 PM | You've been told to stick to this forum or else you will get confused. |
