Greendot&Walmart asks Identity questions to get card account?
 

Hi to all after some years being happy with greendot & walmart just frustrated about new rules since last week.Now they ask for identification Questions to pass trough opening card account.Does any one facing this problem or they just flagged my IPs?experienced guys please advise some solution to get ride of this.:help:

They are asking questions related to id verification.

I wonder why OP keeps asking about all these USA prepaid card??

Please understand, To Open ANY Prepaid (with checking #, Routing #) YOU will NEED to provide a Social Security Number (SSN). There is no NO way around it. Unless you yourself come to the USA and either become a Resident or Citizen you will not be able to open ANY Prepaid Card.

New Rules???? To verify ID has been in place for years.

they are starting to add bday verification to ssn now days

you get asked questions like eBay when you want to raise seller limits.

oh....Lots of banks have this in place. It seems Walmart finally caught on.

definitely yes I am opening bunch of accounts for 3 years with help of SSN( I use for legal activities) but the doubt is that these info are no longer enough for passing identity verification now days. however many other prepaid providers never ask for theses fortunately...

As of early this summer ALL pre paid credit cards have been required by law to obtain SS# on US residents. Many did it prior to this anyway, however now they must.

Yes, thats correct do the regulation of USA Patriots Act of 2001, there regulated to verify your identity. Often prepaid cards companies out-source a security industry or credit bereaus to process soft credit checks.

There's ongoing companies that do this manually because of potential fraud risks, potential systems and other ip connecting systems in place can flag your account easily.

I have to say tank you guys. just passed trough this big issue and now card service going smoothly as well!

all the websites out there got $ for free information but if you know Google your friend ,then you will not have to pay a penny for them!:thumb:

I am talking about identification Qs which they ask as many banks do.it takes a bit of your hard time to answer them with help of google.most of people pay only for theses companies search work.but you may search people yourself for free!:typing:
