How can i cash out my gift cards
 

Hi,
I have many unused gift cards laying around. Tried to cash them out with various merchant accounts but they frowned upon me. seems like they don't like gift cards for whatever reason.
My questions is how do you guys empty your gift cards? do you use PAYPAL? any help is greatly appreciated.

If these are visa giftcards, you can use square or gopayment , you can swipe the card and get the money back in a bank account.

They will charge a transaction fee tho, around 3%

Don't know how to get cash back without the fee

I use the gift cards that I use to make ebay/paypal account to buy myself groceries.

I had a deal with a neighbor that I would buy her groceries and she would give me the money, plus a small discount. You have to be in good standing with a neighbor to do this.

When I bought food I would cash out some 3 gift cards that once. But I don't eat that much so now I am trying to make a deal with my sister. Maybe try with a family member.

But that website seems a nice try.

Visa and Mastercard gift cards can be used where ever these cards are taken. So just use them to buy daily needs.

You can also set up a dummy listing on another site, like ioffer, for the exact amount of the remaining balance, you could also do it with another ebay account but then you would risk linking your accounts eventually.

If you use giftcards multiple times on these they will shut your account down quickly.

The know it is gift cards and not real visa, AE, Mc etc and will take your account down.

They dont like gift cards because they know its an untraceable form of payment.

I have used Square and few other services - you can only do this rarely...they do look at % of what types of cc used.
