Etrade terrible bank
 

Dont use etrade. I made over 10 accounts in 1 year with them and just got shut down a couple of days ago because paypal system that logged in the instant verification and flagged my etrade account with suspicious ip address and location and even I confirmed my identity with etrade they didnt budge or care. So they closed me down for good.

Use the search.

Stated on the forum.

I never did like to do instant verification, i take the slow road, the micro deposits in 2-3 days.

Yea Etrade is gone for a long time body.....

There are other banks with instant verification i like them better then to wait 2-3 days

Instant Verification is Dangerous and should be avoided at EVERY Bank,,,what is the big deal, wait the the Damm 2-3 Days,,Where the hell you going?

Me, I will eat my Cuban sandwich, drink my Cuban coffee, run around for 2-3 days until the coffee wears off (:shocked::shocked:) and input the 2 number of the micro deposits.

Well, explain that to the User who tries instant Verification because of something that he read on this forum and winds up losing an account over that and has to start all over, now THAT is a waste of time, and more,,,believe me it happens a LOT more than you might think, remember, there are those located in areas where they are surrounded by banks where it wont matter,,but there are those here NOT that fortunate,, so why chance it, waiting 2-3 Days works EVERYWHERE

I agree ETrade's bank accounts are not good with PayPal at all thats for sure.

Seriously, it is blacklisted by paypal.

WTFudge do you want to chat about its functions?

Some poor sod will see your numerous posts & think the bank is really OK.

Like your last comment does not qualify Elijah - anyhow, true best to just leave it be.

I never bought stocks just used it to receive money. I guess if you want be extra careful just buy some stock under 100 bucks and make sure they see your going to use it for stocks and not just receiving money.

They must of thought well this guy receives money and no stocks there is risk. The IP thing flagged me and I explained about paypals instant verification for adding a direct deposit account and etrade did not seem to know that. They told me its not paypal its some other company.

I said yes I know and the first time they told me could I replicate it? That meant could I log in from what etrade calls an agregator website where you dont have to log into etrade website directly. I said no because it was just a 1 time thing, but I should of said I need to open a new account on etrade to do that or maybe better not to say anything since they wont understand anyway.

Just wanted to share for anybody out there my thought to DONT USE ETRADE FOR PAYPAL AND IF YOU MUST THEN CHOOSE 2-3 DEPOSITS AT ALL COST AND MAKE SURE YOU LOG INTO YOUR ETRADE ACCOUNT FIRST A COUPLE OF TIMES WITH YOUR NORMAL IP.

Or just dont use Etrade all together from the start.
