I noticed this today when I tried to use my pre paid visa (au) cc to sign up for an account, the error said it was an unsuported brand, even though Ive used these cards before. I also noticed someone one here has a simon.com card that didnt work today either so Im gussing ebay have cracked down on this.
Has anyone else had any success?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Yes, it happened with me as well. I normally use the Vanilla Visa Gift cards and I bought 3 of them. None of them worked in trying to establish new accounts.
In response to the Vanilla Visa/Mastercard thing, it DOES not give a confirmed address, however, it doesn't activate the first time you run it through. You need to try the card THREE times, after the third time, PayPal will tell you it can't verify the 3 digits on the back...cool. They'll charge the card $1.95 EXPUSE, and you can get that code instantly online. Hope that helps.

Sparkle, The problem is you purchased your cards from the post office...the visa gift cards.....but when you buy them from the post office they only sell you just the "GIFT CARD" there are no names on the gift cards...The best option in AU is to buy gift cards directly from Prepaid Visa Card - ANZ Prepaid Shop - You can order gift cards really cheap, the min. amount you can load onto the card is $25AUD and there is a $5.95AUD processing fee for each card you buy....after you order your cards (in all the names you want) you then need to activate the cards online, you can then go ahead and add it to your paypal account...I verified 3 PayPal accounts last week with them...they work pretty easily...
When opening new accounts with anonymous prepaid credit cards, how exactly does it work? what about the name, address and bank account to withdraw funds?
Sorry if this question is a bit backward
