Default Social Security # Required to add funds with Green Dot?

If I buy a Green Dot card to add funds to my Paypal account will it ask me to provide my social security number? If so, is there a better way to add funds without being busted?

No you can Add any bank account to Paypal .

The only thing Paypal will see is routing and account number. however when you withdrawl money your name will be attatched to the deposit.

I'm not sure but I think green dot does not accept mismatch names

Define 'busted?'

Real ID has to be supplied when making bank accounts and obtaining certain cards.

What do you mean?

Do you mean from a greendot pre paid card or a greendot moneypak?

Huge difference.

They change the way you can fund pp accounts using moneypak a few months back if that is what you mean.

On the card that has a bank account yes you are required to add a SSN to get the bank account.

You can do it with a VCC, simply attach it to your Paypal account, then make purchases, paypal will charge the amount of your purchase to your card, it will take a couple of extra days to complete the payment to the seller, but you avoid the whole bank transfer issue

Its better to use moneypaks on cards other then paypal. Paypal loves moneypak limitations.

Cannot understand your question. Use moneypaks on cards? Like I said above if you use the card I mentioned it has to have a SSN attached. Moneypak itself does not work with pp anymore. The loaded plastic card will work but you have to use a SSN, which you seem to want to avoid.

Also, did you not have a post that you wanted to sue Greendot? but then come back and want to use it again? Why one day are you wanting to sue them but then turn around and ask how to use it?

Default Green Dot

No you have the wrong person...I'm not suing anybody. I just wanted to know if I could buy a Green Dot money pak and add funds to my paypal account without giving name, social, etc.

If you dont verify with the bank account, you can still make purchases using your credit card but realize that many sellers will not ship to a UN-VERIFIED pp account (just fyi)
