Vanilla card might look suspicious with a 9 year expiration date?

I just got out of a Walgreens and looked at the back of the vanilla visa card. Don't have a new bank account yet, so I didn't buy it. But I just noticed that the expiration date is in 2022, which is good and all, but just wondering if ebay and paypal would be suspicious for such a long expiration date? Thanks.

Not usual for this to be an issue.

More likely better liked by paypal ( long life etc).

I see no reason way PP would not like this, I would think to opposite tbh. Sounds very useful.

@glacier922, it`s a nice long date - havent seen issues with this exp. date either - load the card up depending on how much you expect to use it.

I use vanilla visa for all my accounts works great

Ok...dumb question....do you guys use the Vanilla Visa as your bank account or cc for PayPal? I'm starting to run out of options for banks in my area to setup accounts.

Nevermind.....I guess I was wondering if you can use it as your bank account as well as a CC.

So that was YOU taking that picture at that kiosk :p

Back to topic...I've used a few Vanilla cards that have expiration dates in the 2020's and had no issues.

Heh, 2020 sounds so far away yet will be here before we all know it!

Ok, I got my vanilla card declined because I put too little money in it. I only put 30 dollars and my fees for the second month is past 30 bucks. When I replace this vanilla card, and if you keep replacing it, will ebay or PayPal view this as suspicious? I mean I would be changing credit card numbers every 2-3 mos.

If it declines ALL the time - sure - that's why you should pay fees in advance - break it down into frequent payments if you want then

Ok, so I can keep switching cards and just keep ahead of ebay's automatic monthly billing charge then I'd be ok? I just realized that the vanilla card does not allow recurring payments so when eBay tried to charge me, it declined even though I had enough money there.

Yes you can keep switching and paying as long as the amount is well ahead of the billing charge :) Make sure you do NOT use the same card across accounts - you will have problems. Keep tracking of which cards you are using.
