Do you have to use VCC or can you use your own...
 

Do you have to use a VCC or can you use your own Debit/Credit Card for paying ebay fees ect? I read that paypal only uses card number and sort code and that it doesn't use or need the address associated with the card therefore you can use your own details plus card as long as you have never used them before with paypal.

you can use a vcc and will have no issues paying your fees this way, visa gift cards as well

Bank Card and Bank Account are different.

To register a Bank Card on PP they will need the card number, expiry dates and the CCV number. The card address will need to match the PP address. If it is a stealth account then the AVS will fail. That is why VCC are used. They can be made to pass the AVS, or bypass it.

The Bank Account is an 8 digit bank account number and a 6 digit code code. To link a bank account with PP they just need these numbers. The address does not need to match, nor does the account holders name (although some banks are an exception to this rule)
