Bank account alternative
 

Can a VBA or a VCC be used to verify a bank account on Amazon? I'm referring to the two small deposits that they make into the bank account.

If not, is there any other way to verify any kind of an account aside from actually opening a bank account that doesn't require me to go to a physical bank or to order a card in the mail? I'm okay with using my personal information, but I'd like to keep it all online.

The answer is no to all the above. You can open the amazon account and sell without a bank account, but you cannot get paid until you open an actual bank account and add it.

A VBA can be used to open the account and get the micro-deposit information, but you cannot have money deposited into the VBA.

Real bank accounts CAN be opened online at the right banks. B of A and Chase are two that come to mind.

Beware of the reloadable debit cards that come with a bank account! While some people HAVE used them successfully, many others have had problems with them. Metabank in particular does not like to allow any deposits if the names on the accounts do not match EXACTLY. And Metabank powers MANY, MANY of these cards, regardless of the name on the front of the card. To check, look at the terms of service.

In my experience, nothing beats a REAL bank account.

Do not use a VBA on Amazon - if you accidentally withdraw money to it, either it will fail or (even worse) you won't be able to get your cash. Real bank is best
