Can a closed bank account be charged?
 

If you use bank account as a method to pay eBay fees, and then closed the account, could eBay still charge the account?

If a bank account is linked to a Paypal account and then closed, could Paypal still deduct funds from the account?

If I gave a bank account to a friend to use to verify his Paypal account and then closed the account, could he potentially rip me by initiating a payment and using bank account as the funding source?

These questions are purely inquisitive and I do not use these methods.

Why else close a bank account other then to stop all transactions.

Are you sure? I thought the charge would still go through...

If it's closed, nothing should be able to come or go from your account. Contact your bank to be 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure.

So if someone initiates an echeck from a closed account it should not clear?

But here is where it gets interesting. I would be the owner of the bank account. However, if I was to allow my friend to use it for verification and then close the bank account, a bounced check would be initiated from his Paypal account but from my bank account. What would happen then?
