I tried to buy a Simon giftaccount for $500 the other day, but they asked for SSN and this was using Paypal Plugin, and I'm not going to just put in a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number for this. What's the maximum a Simon giftaccount can be purchased for without requiring SSN?

It all varies, I know someone who bought two $500 with cc in one purchase and all they verified is that the last four on the receipt and embossed on the card matched. Along with ID. Never SSN though

In my experience, they ask me for a SSN on any amount above $299. I played around with it for awhile to figure it out. But, as pointed out, it could be different for every person.

When useing simmions gift cards dose your address on the giftcard have to be the same as the funding sources address?

I usually buy Simon gift accounts less than $100 and have had no problem sofar. Yesterday I wanted to buy a $500 gift account and noticed the Social Security number of the Purchaser (not the Recipient) is required on the form. I changed the amount to $299 and it didn't require the SSN. However I haven't received the Gift Account number.

I gave Simon a call and they said they need me to fax a copy of my Driver License and Credit Card (that I used to purchase the account). It shouldn't be a problem because of course you need to use your real info (name, address, CC number) to buy a gift account with a Credit cart as the purchaser.

However, does anyone have the same problem before? I mean, i can fax it to them but to be honest I don't want to but looks like I have no choice.

Simon is a dead end for cashing out paypal! i think they where alearted by paypal spys here and are now wanting copys of that BS.

I bought 3 accounts from this scumbags and lost all my money invested i even did a min $25 giftaccount and didnt recive squat they suck!

Actually, Simon is not a dead end for cashing out of Paypal. I do it all the time.

Maybe cause you use real info on paypal or u have gave them your photo id or something or maybe ur just lucky.

I have found a new way to cash out paypal and much safer the simon :D

on your home page of paypal, click profles, from there you should see a list of different items.. you should see paypal plug-in there

Johnny, these companies are starting to ask for more ID so there's no reason to not comply. I have not heard that simon are sharing info with ebay. LOL.:peace:
