CC that don't require a SSN?

Hi,

Are there any PrePaid Card companies out there that allow you to register a prepaid card without a SSN?

I purchased a GreenDot card at Walgreens for $45 and when I try to register/activate it it is asking for SNN.

I've done this a few years ago and never had an issue, is this new and required?

The Patriot Act requires that ALL Prepaid Card Companies request a SSN, not sure what was the last time you opened one without a valid SSN but this requirement has been in place for a long time.

Now, are you trying to open a Greendot for bank deposits?

No, I want to load $45 onto the card & use it for my Amazon Seller account, I want to open a Store for $39.99 a month.

How about the AMEX Serve Card? Anyone had experience with those?

No. You need to learn how these work. Prepaid CC and prepaid debit are 2 different things. The S.SN requirement is to prevent lau.ndering.

I think ebay looks at prepaid gift cards the same as prepaid debit cards. Prepaid cc are amex and prepaid debit is visa/mc ? Correct

thing with a gift card is there is only a certain balance on it.

amazon does test the card to see there is a balance.

eventually that balance is used & you need to get another card.

entropay could be used with tops as needed.
