Can you please be more precise as to what has to match or not?

Can I use my grandma's from australia :) credit card with her name and matching zip code and what not of her real card just it does not match my name or address here in the USA?

They (see above) do not need to match for a card to be added on Amazon

I am not sure which bit is unclear?

The name, the house number and the ZIP code on the card do not need to match the Amazon billing address

A foreign card probably won't work, but if you're in the US you can use any US Credit/Debit card without issues.

The problem with these is that they only work "for now".
Friend of mine updated his real account card to a temp card as he had theft on his card and they issued a temp one before he received the new one and was suspended for that.

Problem is that the card has to verify the name on it so if I use mine it has my name (which is suspended).

Not true. Name is not verified. Put in any made-up name and it can still pass Amazon check.

To summarise

• card needs to be loaded with funds and kept active
• most prepaid cards now won't work
• amazon cannot see the name on the card, aside from what you enter.
• avs checks aren't carried out for most UK cards.

So let me understand this correctly - Amazon doesn't verify name on the VCC card? Just number of the card, expiration, and I assume address and zip, or just zip?

If this is the case, you can open number of bank accounts, get debit cards issued, then login into your online banking and change your address to the address you used to create the stealth account and voila - you got yourself a VCC???

no I never tried cards from Bjammin.
The problem with vcc is that one day they will not work.
It's cool if they work now but I can't send 10K of inventory to AZ and then get suspended 3 month later when the vcc does not work

Bjammin cards used to work great, he is a great seller. I recently bought one from him with the new $45 rules, but he warned me that it may not work.. It actually worked to create a pro account, then I got a message that I need a valid card, I re-entered the info and it went through, but then my account started showing negative $39.99 balance. Day later I got hit with a suspension and requirement for the business license and utility bills...

Someone need to clarify how to use debit cards. Things have changed. However, Bank Accounts are still easy to open (on your own name of course). If we can open a Bank Account, and order a Debit Card, and later simply change the address to the address of the account, then that would resolve all of our issues - bank account and VCC!

This of course is assuming that as someone mentioned above, the name on the card doesn't need to match and Amazon simply verifies the address/or zip code of the VCC.

Is this correct?

I have used several main banks (Chase, Wells Fargo, Fifth Third, etc) that allowed me to change my address online through logging into my account. Took only seconds. If this is truly the case, starting new stealth accounts will be very easy. No need to look for credit cards or anything. Just spend few hours one day to go around different banks and open several accounts.

Is it really possible to open a new bank account, get a credit card and change the address, for example, of a city and so on, does the Amazon not notice and will not give a ban?

As a rule:

IF YOU HAVE TO ASK IF A CARD IS STILL WORKING WITH AMAZON, THE ANSWER IS NO.

Further, if the card WERE working, and we confirmed it, it would just be shut-out. Amazon monitors the forum. How do you think they keep up?

I had amazon pro stealth account for 2 years. Then I submitted application for Canada market. Such an idiot... They asked for a credit card , said previous invalid. I had no idea gift cards are off now, so I submitted vanilla gift card.... now my account suspended. Please help

FYI, You could still use your own debit/credit cards if your in the US (most work). Doesn't matter if name/address are different, what matters is the card is active with a sufficient balance.

When you add the card, just remember to put the same details as those on the Amazon account (i.e. name/address).

I have a working Amazon.com account and had a amex card (VCC, the VCC is still not expired but has $5 amount in it) on it which was marked as invalid by amazon. and they now asking for adding new or replacing it.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Wait, I'm confused.

So far what other members have contributed as to what we need is the following:
-Card loaded with funds
-House Address (including zip code) must match CC

But all have said that the name doesn't have to match when registering the stealth account. So...do I need them to be the same then? o__o;

I can confirm from first hand experience. The address must match. I have perfect everything except address and they requested a bunch of crap. E.g. bank statements, id front and back, etc. Do make sure you the address is matching. Not sure about the name as mine was matching.

Do seller account charge methods require AVS with matching billing address on the card or no?

The address 90% of the time does NOT need to match

Sometimes for reasons it does need to match. In most cases it does now

That applies to Amazon accounts in the UK and the US. I cannot speak as to the rest of the world
