Opinions on new CryptoCurrency ICO - Tezos
 

Wanted to get some opinions from some of the CryptoCurrency experts on the upcoming (May 22nd) ICO of Tezos.

I'm thinking about investing a significant amount of money (bitcoins) in them. Nothing I couldn't afford to lose but nothing to scoff at either. This is not usually my type of investment. I generally do not invest in anything that I cannot directly influence. But here is what has me interested:

The team behind it is really solid and Billionaire Venture capitalist Tim Draper is one of the early backers:

Now there is one thing that has me especially nervous. The initial fundraising will be uncapped. So please tell me what you think.

draper backing it does not mean anything, he might get coins for pennies on the dollar for getting "involved". Tezos is only cool because of the voting control, which is the best deterrent for the fork and splitting issues of cryptos. Tezos is designed to be voted on by coinholders. TEzos is roughly 23 cents a coin and I think it will pump quickly to 5-10 bucks a coin and probably dump but it dont matter because I will dump it at 4 dollars and all this will happen in months. icotracker.net tracks all the major ICO's

and the no coin limit is shady at best. they just keep making coins and coins and coins

Having traded in the Canadian Penny Stock Natural Resource market for years. I do expect a ton of pump and dump style Cryptocurrencies to hit the market.

If you are early you can definitely come out ahead. My advice if you do get in is if the price doubles then sell half your original position and take a "free ride" on the remaining coins. This is what is often done in the Penny stock game sometimes you are pissed you sold early and sometimes you are thankful you just got out without any losses.

Good luck and thanks for the update. I have to agree the no coin limit is a bit disturbing for me as well.

Thanks for taking a look at this one, Vogeltron. I was hoping to get your opinion on this one as you definitely have a knack for this market. You are one of the first to inform me about this type of investment and one of the people I look to for ongoing advice. I Got in on Bitcoins early thanks to you. I definitely think you should take on a bigger project in this regard such as your own blog/website.

That being said I think you are writing this one off a little too quickly. If you look at the team, the problems this one solves, the backers, the time in development, and the unique concepts this one brings to the table, this one does not smell like the same sleazy pump and dump scheme you see in Penny stocks. Do a little diligence and I guarantee you will be impressed.

I know that not having a coin limit seems to scream constant dilution to the value of each coin. However it could also lead to widespread adoption which will increase their value. Don't forget that Ethereum also has no coin limit.

Again I really think you should take a second serious look at this one. This is not your run of the mill low-rent project.

Glad you got into Bitcoin, I took lots of heat when I was recommending it after crashed down to the $250 level from the $1000ish Cypress Bail in Highs.

This market is going to constantly change. What I can say is whenever something like Coinbase adds Litecoin or another Crypto you usually see a spike up then a pull back. I am looking to add to my position if we dip down into the $12 to $15 range.

I have to admit the Crypto Market has gone on a large bull run, but unlike stocks because so few people own them or even know about them its hard to call it a bubble. I could easily see some drop 30% which for the volatility in these is par for the course. As they easily could then go up 60-80%.

Right now Bitcoin is screaming to $2000. I think it will hit that major price in the coming weeks then cool off.

We will see what happens. Monero and Dash both look very interesting to me. I am going to sit back and see how thing play out for the next couple of weeks.

I will look into what I can with regards to the Tezos project. There are just so many ALT coins it really does remind me of the Canadian JR Resource sector with all the exploration companies trading at pennies hoping to develop into the next viable project.

waiting to make sure they build some more interest, They probably follow search, twitter and forum traffic and see they are not getting the response they wanted yet so they need to spam a few more forums and find a few more billionaires to invest 1000 dollars and get 1 zillion coins at a discount to just say they are buying in!
ICOS are super scary but they are awesome pump and dumps!

I am going in on tezos come the 1st but I am curious of how the wallet will work. I know you get a temporary tezos wallet to start with but I wonder how soon I can hard wallet move my Tez? anyone know anything about the after released wallet things going on?

based on current btc price of 2700 that is about .45 a tez. I am probably going to bail at .30 and 1.60
