The fact the Japanese government backed it up.
The fact its a finite type of item (21 million in total can ever be mined with 16.5 million already spoken for).
The fact its not centralized and not controlled by any government.
Plenty of things going for Bitcoin at this point.

I think this is helping more and more with BTC integration for a lot of stuff online. It may one day become as commonplace as a PP payment option.

Also, note that BTC is traded publicly.. so there could be some huge manipulation happening like when it first went to 1200ish and popped down to 200-400. Who knows
