As for bad for the environment. So is hard currency and a lot of other things | Expensive for small transactions which is what you'd need for it to be a viable currency, would be very expensive if it gained any sort of real adoption.
More complicated in my opinion, mess up one digit and bye money. Mess up on paypal and they'll probably sort it out for you.
Customers won't love no chargebacks which is why paypal is so popular, no good sellers liking it if no customers do.
Uses about 200 kwh per transaction, printing more is probably more like 0.0002 kwh.
