I own a few shares of GBTC and ETHE.
You are too insecure to be a risk taker,if anyone who posts about crypto upset you on a forum like ASPKIN ,you are taking on too much risk!

Binance banned in the UK from the 30th June I believe

Had to sell all of my Ethereum at a loss of about 3 grand to get the hell out of there. Not going to risk keeping a penny in a banned exchange.

Gutted to say the least.

I take it you missed this part?

"Binance's existing crypto exchange is not UK-based so despite the FCA ruling, there will be no impact on UK residents who use the website to purchase and sell cryptocurrencies."

Also, how the hell did you lose that much?

Maybe you need to go over a few years worth of posts to realize how absurd your comments are friend.

Whoever doesn't understand the inside story of what is "blockchain" , "cryptographic hash function" and how and what is it that is securing the crypto coins and last but not the least what is private key of crypto wallet and why you should have it in your hand instead of using exchanger's wallet. All those people who has no clue about any of the above terms will live in darkness and loose money by getting influenced by the poor crowd and regret infinitely in the end. It doesn't take more than 24 hours for common man to dig deep into web and get complete information about above mentioned terminology which is the foundation of future finance.

James, do you have a friend who is a trader that you can talk to?

From your previous posts it sounded that you are rather new to trading.
You came in when it's hot and you exited when it's cold.

I suggest you find a friend like that to keep you calm so you don't make FUD decisions.

Bitcoin yes, but ETH I bought at the bottom if that's what you can call it

If we can go back to 47,000 GBP or more I stand to make a profit. So I'm hoping that happens this year.

The only reason I got out of binance at a loss is because I was worried I will lose access to my account in a few days time. Fear got me.

To be honest I'm not a tech head that loves the technology behind it, just like the masses I'm here to make some money and get out. So I understand I'm gambling.

Take it from someone who's been in this since the last bull cycle (and had his investment go to practically nothing for years, until this bull cycle), the lows always get lower and you will be left speechless.

The safest strategy is to put in a few hundred per month (if you can afford it) regardless of the market state and average out your purchases. Never FOMO into anything.

What were some of you saying ... my gut instinct was correct.

https://www.ft.com/content/2d427ed7-...tC87FRPip0Q4qU

Binance have locked people out from withdrawing their funds.

I'll eat my loss and stick to FCA approved exchanges. Coinbase might be expensive but atleast they have their licenses to operate.

The article seems only available to subscribers but, regardless, that's the inherent problem with some platforms - they control your crypto....they can lock ppl, delay transfers, or...worse, get hacked

That link requires you to subscribe to read but a quick google came up with this:
https://www.ft.com/content/2d427ed7-...4-46429b19df5d

Again you are declaring the sky to be falling over absolutely nothing, but this time you did even worse since even the title shows that what you have just said isn't actually the case: "Binance customers locked out of sterling withdrawals and deposits"

As the article goes on to mention, other currencies and and transfers to other wallets/exchanges are still allowed.
