think about what youre saying. Think what 10-20 years actually means. Bitcoin has only been around for 10 years and look at the way its come.

So what does it actually mean then?

People said the same thing about btc since it was introduced 10 years ago, and I have yet to seen a single coffee shop that accepts btc today, and I live in a big city. So much for mass adaptation...

FYI, Bitcoin at this point is just a massive pump and dump machine and the general public has long lost interest in btc since the second boom (to $20k). The only reason why Bitcoin still has major price flux is because USDT is constantly propping up bitcoin with huge artificial trade volumes, and huge amounts of tokens constantly being added to circulation without reliably proving their USD backings.

These aren't opinions, these are facts. If you don't believe me, a quick google search will yield you the same results stating the same claims for the past years.

Not really sure either. Since the 24th Coinbase was having supposed cloudfare issues. This was when BTC was 10600 and steadily climbing. 3 days later of issues, price climbs to 14k and Coinbase and BTC crash to 11600. Now Coinbase isnt having issues. A bit coincidental. And I had no idea what the true price was at the time since you could not get a good connection.

Re: Crypto Blowing Up

My theory. It was setup to force all us peons to HODL when the price dropped so it wouldnt bottom out. Everyone would sell at 13800 otherwise and price drops again. Were they having traffic issues :noidea: Did traffic just all the sudden slow when price went to 10600 - I doubt it! With everyone HODLing price maintains a higher bottom line.

I remember Coinbase having issues of one kind of another on their status page every time the price started dipping, back when it was climbing to $20k. I don't blame them for wanting to defend a higher price. :noidea:

Gotchya. All I know is it was a missed opportunity and no one could do anything but watch. They're saying outage right at the crash. All in 15min.

https://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-hi...-in-15-minutes

So people knew to sell right before the crash which caused the outage..

8 hours later, losing money. 11k to 13.7k to 10.6k and falling in 48 hours. That's a big swing even for bitcoin lol.

How about bitcoins made out of precious metals :)

Reminds me of custom order Elephant gun ammo that isnt manufactured anywhere except the few remaining families with the knowledge.

Go big or go home huh

Re: Crypto Blowing Up

I've been trading crypto 12 hours a day for the last 2 years. If anyone has any questions, post them here and I can answer them. IEOs are an easy way to make money. My friends make $10k-$50k a month doing these, but the cat's out of the bag now, so that number will likely get cut to 1/3 for the end of July/August IEOs. If you're trading, you can win or lose up to 90% of the time depending on what strategies you employ. Crypto is probably the simplest market to trade because the crypto algos are the least efficient compared to traditional stock markets and forex, but once the major players come in later this year and soon after, that edge is over. Obviously, holding btc has the best upside if you don't have time to follow a specific winning strategy, but most people can't afford to buy btc. If you aren't prepared to lose 30% of your initial investing by buying bitcoin above $10k, you should not be buying, but you risk it never falling below $9k.

Re: Crypto Blowing Up

I feel more comfortable buying at the CME gap at $8500. It's just statistics. Usually, the chance of price dropping decreases incrementally, but once you break the liquidity pool, the chance increases. You can be short term bearish but mid term bullish. I think everyone here is long term bullish on btc. I'd eat my shoe if btc went below $7k this year. You have to think that in 5 years, btc will be close to $100k if you're long term bullish so buying at $5k(the bull bottom) or $10k makes little difference if you plan to buy the same amount of bitcoins and hold till $100k or $1m.

Cryptos are a medium of exchange not a store of value. Speculating on cryptos is just simply gambling. The difference between gambling in Vegas and speculating on cryptos and stocks is that you get that %3 long run advantage. But you can loose just as the house in vegas can loose in the short run.
