Do some suppliers not have access to products that other suppliers might have?
 

Let's just say these items are on the risky side. You would think if you work with one supplier, the other suppliers have them, but from experience, it seems that sometimes one supplier has access to some items that other suppliers might not have. Is this true with your experience too?

Yes it is. Different suppliers have access to different items.

I can say yes, too. And also it's interesting for me after I checked four suppliers all selling same item, that their items look very different.

Very different details and quality. Three of them told me that my quality check is too high. I was thinking that there is only one factory, but I was wrong.

Sure. Seems obvious to me. Everyone can't carry everything.

yes, that explains it. I only work with one supplier for years, never really had to change suppliers because i buy large quantities from this one, and all my capital is drained from this one already. Plus she gives me great terms, deals, etc. But some of these items are 3 generations old. Let's say I want to buy 2 generations ago, and she says they don't have it. I'm like wtf? And I see sellers have no problem selling these on eBay.

Usually I work with a sort of broker, so the person I'm working with doesn't have to carry it, just make a few calls. So theoretically, they have access to everything.

Slightly older products can be real money makers, they're cheap compared to the new model and often do exactly the same thing.

Every supplier is different,but sometimes they can be sharing the same manufacturer.

Depends where you buy from... i.e. I wouldn't deem those selling on Aliexpress as "suppliers" per se... many are just reselling/drop shipping.

So in that regard, some "suppliers" may not have products others would have.

Yes, every supplier may have a unique product, even if the product is the same, there will be differences in quality and details, such as suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, dealers, etc.
