Question about the shipping

Hello everyone.

I bought item from China. The person gave me the shipping number and she shipped last night. I tried to enter the Shipping number on China Air Mail website. Website didn't give me any information? Has I been scammed?

It takes a few days for tracking numbers to update on the site. Although the tracking number has been given to you by the seller the package may not have been dropped off to the post office.
