Research is key - as members have always stated in past threads. I don't deal with Alibaba so other folx may chime in but I kind of doubt if anyone will provide suppliers out in the open on this subforum.

All the best.

Depends what you are after, e.g you arent going to find genuine branded electronics items there, just clones etc. Likewise with things like designer labels.

As long as you understand what it it you are buying and do your own research then you should be fine. I was sourcing I68 phones before xmas and before egay pulled all the listings.

Hope this helps.

My favorite web are dhgate, AliExpress, GlobalSource, the last 2 , You can find good items original but the prices are a little high.

someone could give some good experience in Sourcing Fairs

China Sourcing Fairs | Sourcing Fairs India | Korea Sourcing Fairs | Global Sourcing Fairs
Miami Johannesburg Mumbai Shanghai Singapore Hong Kong Dubai

seller on globalsources they ask A minimum purchase of 200 or 500 units per items, that's alot for me, normally i spend a lot less:pop2:

Sometimes you can find very cheap items that brings in nice profits. If I were you that would be what I'd look for first, that way you could afford to refund customers without hurting your pockets. e.g wholesale price would be $3-4 each, but when you sell them you get around $15-$25 per item. I'm not sure if that would be good enough for you, but usually these "cheap" items can make you a pretty penny when you sell in "high volume".

alibaba is a bad place to go...that and ordering in bulk!

youniverseonline 02-15-2011 06:29 PM

Well i have been using alibaba exclusively and nothing else,
So far i haven't had any trouble,
I always use paypal when i pay,
Also get a ems tracking number the next day from most suppliers,
So far i have found only good suppliers on there,

MERMAID 02-15-2011 08:25 PM

youniverseonline this is the first time same one says this ,could you tell same of them? whay do you sell?

youniverseonline 02-16-2011 03:31 AM

Well on our ecommerce site we sale wedding dresses, wall art,
Faucets all legal things, all custom made things there with no names,
On ebay well sports jersey, with few others high risk items,
All the suppliers on there back up there items if its lost or if customs gets it,
Only had one supplier i found out later didnt and not using them now,
I have been leaning more towards sellers out of HK recent on there,
The guangzhou sellers can be a little shady sometimes,
You can find good ones on there just ask tons of questions,
Never use one on there that doesn't take paypal at least,
Anything else let me know,
Thanks

here are a few key point to remember when dealing with alibaba:

-check what products the supplier is listing, if they list a wide range of unrelated products better to avoid.
-How long have they had their trust pass for? If less than 3-4 years avoid
-Do they have a website or does the link just rerout to their alibaba page?
-What amount of capital has the company got registered?
-Do they have a separate phone, fax and mobile?
-If they only offer western union as payment option avoid

Always better to have someone in china check them out for you.

If you need any help PM me

@youniverseonline

Alibaba doesn't accept Paypal anymore. Which will avoid headaches and questions as such will Paypal will be suspicious of Aliexpress payments? Not anymore.
