what to wholesale?
 

its time to move up in the world and buy some products that aren't going to get me in any trouble.

what can you guys suggest?

Really you won`t many folx giving up their goodies - research is key.

You really going to come on here and just simply get an answer and start making money the next week? Come on now.... I do give you props for stop selling f@ke items.

All I can say Is try terapeak, see whats selling well, afterwards try to find wholesalers for those "items"

Better find a niche product and stick to just that. Going and selling random crap just takes too much time to research for max profits.

find a hobby or something you know something about and you can make money doing that.

I did and started small, found suppliers over the years, went from room to garage to small storage to big building. Took 13yrs on ebay but now I have left a very good engineering job and do ebay full time making much more than I was after 15yrs at work.

If you like what you do you can make it make money for you. It may take some time but you can make it happen for sure.

or you could wholesale iphone cases like everyone on ebay seems to and buy 1 million of them for half a penny each.. in 26 yrs you'll technnally make more then any1 and TECHNALLY be making a Bigger profit margin compared to anyone here

like King said.. you gotta find what you like, what you know about.. and find out how to make money off of it.. that goes for ebay and life itself.. some people hate computers.. ad will never do ebay but there are others who know the computers like the back of their hands and with that sells everthing with computers..

every1 is a different person.... every1 has different likes and dislikes.. its up to you..

also found great success with servicing computers and iphones/ipod touches.
i was thinking maybe buying computers that have problems but that means investing a whole lot more than i would like to at the moment..


i know that research is key,

just need something to kick start my thooughts!

The book is a very valuable resource- the forums help with additional questions or weird specific instances not covered much in the book...

If you have never even sold on ebay then you need to do much more research before you even get the book. Get the book yes but you need to know how internet auctions even work first.

Your 1st post made us all think you were already in the world of online auctions. These forums help you but you need the basics of selling online before anything else.

Actually Superrskillz, this forum is one of the most friendliest I've ever come across. You have the same people every day answering the same questions over and over again because people cannot be bothered to read or do their own research. Yes, you come into this by expecting to be told what to sell.

PS, I think I speak for the majority on here when I say I'm certainly not pissed off at eBay for suspending me. I make 4 times now than I did when I was pottering along not being suspended!

Theres people here making 500/day lol if you just knew...
again no1 is goin to give you their bread and butter.. their money makers so they could have more competition then it already is.. its hard out there.. and it sure its goin to be free for that info..

I usually sell website links to my pr3 sites, those types of sales produce for you good feedback and constant sales. I was also wondering about setting your auctions as private, will this get you suspended?

All of my auctions are private - it means your feedback doesn't show cheap and nasty things when you go up market. I built one account to 200 feedback selling eyelashes - it now sells agricultural stuff but has a very impressive feedback - never been a problem

I have 2 accounts that have over 2k ish feedback and never listed an auction on them that wasnt private. They wouldnt offer it to you if it was just going to get you suspended. Go for it.

I agree with Granny, They offer it and people use it all the time. There is nothing hiding by your feedback and who is the high bidder. There is nothing fishy about it so I dont know where you are getting it.

Its probably the combination of private and selling risky items that is doing it. Its NOT the Private auctions alone.

They dont just throw the Private auction option out there so they can push that big "suspension" button as much as they can. People think so but its your selling practices that get you into trouble most of the time.

from what you are tell us, you sound very inexperienced in what you are trying to excel in. it is not a bash or flame, it is the truth. and why would you degrade people who are helping you and making it possible for you to get back on. if knew the money people were bringing in you probably wouldnt believe it.

I agree with dazza, giving private auction as a reason for a takedown is ridiculous, if they offer it they cannot say its a reason for takedown.

If you use the private auctions, for what it was meant for, eg buyer gets privacy on what they bought, then generally private auctions are ok, I use them when I sell in health and beauty catagory for privacy eg. diet pills (I am not saying I sell this, but an example). However people might not want others to see their purchases of underwear or what their jeans size is or whatever....it could be really wide-ranging to incompass anything, so really its down to the seller, E-bay taking it down for being private is ridiculous as they do not offer any rules as to how it should be used.
