And yes it is something with a Brand name logo on it...
Nothing that the company really makes but it has there logo ...

---->this tells me it is with CUSTOMS on 'HOLD' as it is only via customs checks before it's status is given by customs, in your case...that being on 'HOLD'...reasons unspecified....you have to contact them directly to establish the reason for the 'HOLD' status of this shipment.

and then it went on hold...?

I would not panic just yet, it is only a day ago & fresh as of this morning....plus clearance processing is complete.....yes it is on 'HOLD' but no reasons why....hence why I said to you to contact DHL directly to find out why it is on 'HOLD'....

It's most likey been called back by customs, same thing happened to mine. So you paid 6k for 50 pcs? or you mean street value?

no i paid the seller 6,000 total,
The package value for customs in $400...
I don't think it was declared as gift and its 5-7LB

OK, you under declared it's true value, that makes it a bit more clearer & possiby why customs might be reviewing it...still don't panic just yet & engage DHL.

I got a question, say custom takes the package, can I dispute the item with paypal?

if you paid via PAYPAL ...I'd say that is a bit tricky, I am NOT from the US so I am unfamiliar with the US customs legislation there BUT the TRUE value of this transaction would flash up between you & your supplier & hence US CUSTOMS are liable to discover this fact that you've falsley undeclared it's true value.....they could impound your goods & make you pay the true value plus any penalties for falsley under valuing it.....

I very much doubt you'd have a case against PAYPAL... only the importer (you) are held responsible under the terms of the freight service provider conditions of carriage of your import.

Once Paypal discover the reason's for the impoundment, they will NOT be held liable for it under any claims process....you therefore will have no case against them.Paypal will ask you for a LOT of detail proof/evidence pertaining to this disputed transaction none of which will support your claim & it will become apparent of your deliberate undervaluement of your shipment & hence your liabilities.

Infact, it 'could' be serious & I quote:
'Certain civil & criminal penalties apply for failures to follow CBP rules & pay duty. In addition, goods of persons subject to such penalties may be seized & sold by CBP.'...:shocked:

Speak to DHL first.....

"Hold" DOES NOT mean custom took it. I know that for a fact.

Well, it might be on HOLD because they want you to get a broker to clear the package.

Happend to me before. :)

I think the best way forward in this situation is for the OP to contact DHL/CINCINNATI US CUSTOMS to gain a better idea of what has happend to his shipment otherwise every other response here is a possibe conjecture...

First off,,,Do NOT Panic just yet,,I have had Packages "on Hold" Days and then Released and I recieved them,,

From your question as to wether you can file a Paypal Claim,,I am assumming that you did not use a swebsite that offers some type of Escrow service, if you did take it up with them,,,as for a Paypal you Might be able to Prevail in an "Item Not Recieved" Dispute

Packages go "On Hold" with DHL on Saturdays since local offices are closed. This is actually normal.

Mines still held for 2 weeks now, it cleared customs then was called back.

Yea its because custom is closed, I had contacted DHL a little earlier.

If you paid the seller directly there is little chance paypal will assist you. when I filed a complaint against hong kong sellers paypal automatically closed the disputes for any reason.

This is why I dont buy over what im willing to lose. ESCROW FTW!
