The thing you need to worry about is the product you are going to sale, and more if you are using ebay to make your sales.

it mite of worked for you in the past but we are talkin the here and now

dropshipping from china right now is riddled with problems

forget the suppler, what about customs, what about pi55ed off customers waiting for delayed products then paying customs tax

what should you say in the listing your shipping from china.....ebay do not like dropshipping

the best option is to buy the goods and then sell

cheaper..quicker and more secure

Actually you can try a few deals for dropshipping,of cource, just invest small money.I am sure you will know all things well .

You donot have to get the supplier from china, and you can pick some suppliers from other countries, like Europe countries.

As long as you spend time to know the market by yourself, you will know where you need to go .

Small gift promotional items might be considerated since the weight is not too big and the quality usually is not bad and also it is the hotselling items during this peroid.

I dont know why people are arguing or keep going on about it. Myself, GTB and others have stated it doesnt work.. I would know I found out the hard way so take mine, or anyones advice.

IF you dont want to listen on these forums you might aswell close your browser down and call Payp al and hand yourself in.

Amen.

Just because all of us believe it doesn't work doesn't mean that it doesn't. There are many forms of it or 'deals' that can be made that we are not aware of. So that's why we discuss it.
Isn't Amazon dropshipping in a way though us sellers? Same with EBay? They don't hold all the product that we sellers have. They take a cut.
Did you ever shop for items that Walmart doesn't stock in their stores but they list it on their internet site? Those items are 'dropshipped' for Walmart.

Amazon sell books an lots of them I know they drop ship because I work for the company that drop ships for them. We hold thousands of packaging boxes etc for them. They hold no stock.

Nowadays, the same Chinese suppliers who sale wholesale are your direct competition. eBay and other sites have made it easier for them to sell to foreigners, so they feel like "Why let YOU sale our products, when we can sale them OURSELVES and make a bigger profit?"

Now, most new sellers like "josh" have to spend THOUSANDS of dollars buying THOUSANDS of pieces of one product, in order to compete. With the way eBay is doing us now, we'd be lucky enough to be able to sell 5 of those pieces. If I could drop-ship successfully........... I WOULD!!!!

rexxito 12-19-2011 08:16 PM

Josh I think the best option its that you live your own experience yourself, people will tell you that it doesn't work, some other will tell you the other way.
But the most important thing is how you can handle and what results are you going to have. If you want to be successful in sometime you need to try first and be ready for any consequence

josh 12-20-2011 04:01 AM

ye i agree with what most i being said, but @GTB im not buying V e r o goods, they are non branded goods which do sell, but yes they are fairly expensive at around 150-250usd per unit, but the margins are still there as its quite unique, not much competition...

GTB 12-20-2011 06:49 AM

okay mate

its upto you at the end of the day but all the risks are still there

any issue and it's gonna be difficult...when you lose money twice

unless you can have an agreement with the shipping company to refund for faulty goods

it's not something i would do myself but if you feel it's the right thing to do then you will only learn from experience

even though they are not vero you still have the customs issue, slow delivery etc

good luck if you go for it but if ebay see that you are dropshipping chinese goods then they will shut you down

maybe if you do decide to go with it you should try with some small cheap items

just so you lessen the risks when it goes pear shaped

scooterfreek 12-26-2011 03:41 PM

Hy,
I was working with brand clothing with dropshipping but just for two months and than ebay shut me down. But I make a good profit in this two months.
After that I relished that dropshipping is not a great option, but for me is only one because I can't import in my country a lot of same item without additional tax (than is my item expensive) + my different EB and PP acc have different location (different country Worldwide) but my home place is always the same and I shipp always from the same place. So how to figure my problem without dropshipping?

GrannyT 12-27-2011 07:10 AM

@Josh

Because of the way I run my business and the services I offer I receive 6 or 7 emails a week from suppliers who want me to sell for therm and then they despatch - usually, but not always, from China.

If the product you are looking at is that good, and from the tone of your messages it appears that you think it is good, why not buy one and sell it? Repeat this a couple of times and then use the net profit from these sales to start buying in stock.

Drop shipping from outside your home country rarely, if ever, works

GTB 12-27-2011 07:18 AM

GrannyT right on the money again

josh 12-28-2011 01:48 PM
