DHgate certain items disabled?

Are certain items blocked from the general buyers on DHGate? Like do you need a gold vip membership to see somethings on dhgate?

download3000 06-22-2012 11:15 PM

nope everything that has a good profit has been removed only possible way to buy stuff i belive is to have prior contacts from dhgate.

MM78 06-22-2012 11:16 PM

I don't think there's any hidden or blocked items, as download said, if you maintained some prior contacts that would be the best way to get what you want.

jeffweico 06-22-2012 11:20 PM

Everything that was counterfeit has been removed.

Edited to add: In the seller store area, they DO have the option of keeping certain items restricted to those with VIP status. However, the counterfeits have been removed from there as well.

wilburnet 06-25-2012 07:11 AM

just contact the seller and ask him what your interested in

Killuminati 06-25-2012 07:23 AM

Yep good move

DHgate have got a lot of pressures from many copyright owners and they have to removed the counterfeits quickly, otherwise they will have a lot of troubles.

There are still some suppliers exist in alibaba, but now it is more strickly ,so you may need get some private contact for long term using.

Im in the same boat, a lot of my suppliers can no longer list on DHGATE so they operate directly now. Hope this isn't long term, this is exactly what happened to ebay years ago, they made the money from ⊗⊗⊗⊗, and then decide to shoo away all the people that helped make that company, its the same with dhgate, there revenues will drop dramatically now that they've taken down the counterfeit sellers.

Say bye-bye to dhgate.

They MIGHT survive, although it would be as a smaller company. Closure is also a possibility.

DHgate had to be responsible for a HUGE amount of counterfeits worldwide. It was inevitable they would either have to stop or be taken down legally. For what they were selling, it was WAY TOO OPEN and blatant to survive over the long term.

For anyone still selling this stuff, I suggest you find legitimate niches quickly. It isn't going to get any easier to do in the future.

Say what you will, but there are still plenty of other chinese sites wholesaling this crap. DH was just one of the biggest so they got targeted. Aliblahblah used to do it too and they are fine. In fact, they are worth billions of dollars and have been buying up lots of small companies lately just increasing that monstrous net worth. Unfortunately, crap like that continues to set a horrible example of how you can become rich successfully running ill.egal operations.

I think most of the sellers have had to build a massive customer base they dont need to advertise it.

teedon 07-13-2012 02:51 AM

it is helpful to build massive customer database but they have to advertise much more as possible as they can because the competition is very big and market is update very quickly ,so it is no way to keep all customers buying forever.

So they have to keep going and keep finding more customers.

Honestly now Dh looks like a run down 99 cent store.
