| | | powerjam | 08-03-2012 04:16 PM | the million dollar question... What sells best on ebay??? iv had a mess around with ebay over the last few months, buying stuff from dhgate and off ebay in the wholesale section...
i work full time and only realy do ebay on week ends and evenings... BUT HERES THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION,
apart from the obvious stuff from dhgate like dvds, console games etc & the out of date console games you can buy off the ebay whole sale page,
What other things sell well? im not asking for your ebay secrets just a point in the right direction, i want to open a buisness account and sell lagit, has any one got any good ideas?
Iv looked on the net for hours on end for the last 2 months with no joy!
Is it best to but small quanties of lots of diffrent items and just trial and error or is there a way to find these things out?
i dont want to be selling chineese nock offs and any help on any good UK wholesalers would be apriciated,
thanks in advance x |
| cortex | 08-03-2012 05:16 PM | I heard iPhone's sell quite well these days |
| powerjam | 08-04-2012 01:33 AM | yes id imagine thay do.... but how would you go about finding a UK supplyer? |
| astralman | 08-04-2012 01:36 AM | Find an iphone supplier a legit one and one that makes profit enough to still earn after ebay, paypal, and shipping fees, and just incase crazy disputes then you better be making a good profit more than a 100 bucks I would say after all those fees. |
| powerjam | 08-04-2012 02:50 AM | yes i phones would be out of the question... had a look into some gadget stuff and kitchen / bathroom apliences... may make a small order and see how it goes! |

| Volkspeed | 08-04-2012 04:58 AM | Also depends how much of a profit margin you are looking for.

It's not just what sells best on ebay.
It's what sells best FOR YOU on ebay.
Think of stuff you like. Pick stuff you will not mind packing. That's one angle of approach

| First Edition | 08-04-2012 04:30 PM | Honest answer...
no one will tell you. Anyone who does tell you, surely has a profit to gain from telling you. It's capitalism at its finest.
A old ebay sellers joke.... ebay sellers come together to learn from the pros at a conference. The speaker asks "who here is making a profit on ebay every month, no matter how small?" Everyone raises their hands.
Then.... "Okay, now how many of you have a good supplier?"
All the hands go down.
The joke explained - People with good suppliers won't ever tell. |
| GofortheGold | 08-04-2012 07:11 PM | I think the correct question isn't "what sells best on eBay", but rather "how do you find and source which items sell best on eBay". Because if you give somebody an item on a public forum, other people start selling and the market becomes saturated and no longer profitable. However, if you learn to find your own items and niches, you'll be able to support yourself. |

I dont have it but heard posotive stuff about it. | These sort of programs I can never understand why they are good.
If I bought the subscription and kept looking at what is selling through the best, everyone would keep looking at the HOT sellers and that niche would become saturated by close of play at the end of the week and you would constantly be looking for a new market to play in, am I right or? |

It is VERY easy to find suppliers, what is harder is getting the sort of prices that give you a good profit margin.
