issue with supplier...how to proceed

I have s supplier that I have used for 3 orders. 1 sample, and the then 2 larger orders. samples order had no issue. for the next order i got a new rep. I stressed to the new rep my orders have to be non branded. when my items came, a handful were name brand items. I raised hell and the supplier said i can 1) ship them back, 2) ship them to another one of their customers in the states or 3) sell them myself. I told them I will ship them back. I told them they need to arrange and handle because i don't want to be put in the situation with these items. Nothing happened to the "they handle it part"

In the meantime, order #3comes and two items are broken. no branding issues. I emaill the rep and she says I can send them back. I say ok and clarify the amount and she tells me the wont pay shipping back. That's on me per them. I tell her that s not acceptable and I accept them to pick up shipping. THats where we are at at the moment?
Note: items purchased in my name to my address?

my ?'s
1) is it normal for overseas suppliers to make the buyer pay for shipping back?

2) Do you all ship to stealth name and address? if so, what would happen in the case i discussed here: http://www.aspkin.com/forums/shippin...e-delay-s.html
..where dhl called for my SS#?

3) I paid with my cc. I am contemplating disputing the charge through my cc and also filing a claim paypal? any good reason to not do other than I probably won't be able to conduct business with this folks in the future.

How would you handle it?

I just had a problem with my overseas supplier. 4 out of my 7 products where defective. And they wantted me to pay the $60 to ship them back. I ended up selling them as part just to make my money back.

i just went ahead and filed a dispute for the entire amount of the 2nd order through paypal. I figured its the only way to get their attention.

I don't know if its communication issue because of culture and language or that i am a small player but they don't seem to give a ****.

You already figured it out. They simply intend to push you until you give up and accept their mistakes so they won't lose any money. But, good luck with the PP route.

"Hello friend. We can't pay shipping, we're only a little supplier with few workers. Please understand friend."

I'm guessing the replies looked something like that. Welcome to the game. The good news with such suppliers though, they're a dime a dozen. Move on to the next.

Iwuvcurrency 12-10-2012 05:54 PM

lol! They always put the "friend" in it..

Haha gotta love the Chinese. They'll send you $hit that doesn't even look anything similar to what was in the picture. Then you try and say hey what's going on this is what you sent me its not even close to what I bought. They say oh we don't have that.

Sorry to hear about it. But css1 is right, they are a dime dozen. Good luck

Update: PayPal said I won, ship everything back at my expense the buyer will issue a credit for the items but not the shipping.. Effeers

Disputed with cc company. They called today. They are charing back the whole charge and will only reverse that if the seller pays and arranges shipment back. I told them I did want get involved shipping counterfits and she said they chinese vendor would have to arrange some something that doesn't put me at risk.

I hope it sticks and PayPal passes the chargeback to the seller.

Mr2005 12-20-2012 03:33 PM

So I got the friendliest email from supplier today asking me how I want to resolve. It seems PayPal takes a different tone with the seller when there is a cc chargeback.

rsot 12-21-2012 05:53 AM

Ah the power of cc chargeback...exactly :thumb:

slim jim 12-21-2012 08:21 AM

I would get a letter from an expert saying they r phakes for proof. Just extra protection in case CC company messes around

makavi94 12-26-2012 11:48 AM

Since you paid through cc,you can call cc company and ask charge back.Good luck
