Inbound into customs

Hello, I have two packages comming from China and both of them say "inbound into customs" since Thu, Dec 20th. Usually it takes a day or two to clear the customs, but this time it is taking unusually longer. Can this be due Christmas and high volume of packages coming through? does anyone else have the same issue at the moment? and also is three days normal?

The same has happened to me. I ordered two figurines from Japan through EMS and the status on them is 'inbound into customs' since December 22. This is ridiculously long. I shutter to imagine they would seize and destroy two small figurines without any letter and or notice whatsoever?
