How to fill out EMS form for Customs - Intl. Phone Shipments
 

I'm planning on shipping alot of smartphones from Taiwan and S. Korea all around the globe, selling through eBay. Some of the boxes have been opened to test, but they're all new phones.

I'm shipping with EMS. What can I do to decrease the chance it will get stuck in customs? How shall I fill out the form? What should I write for the item name and value?

I am a little concerned about an item getting stuck in customs then eBay doing a chargeback, should I be? EMS tracking shows when an item is sitting in customs, ofc.

Dont ship with EMS. Ship with DHL so much safer.

DHL is safer yes, however EMS is much faster and I get my stock sent via EMS and only the once had a problem, I suppose it depends alot on what size the parcel is and does it raise any eyebrows, the value should be marked down as litlle as possible and sent as a gift.

I was very unsure of using EMS but I have a good relationship with my supplier and the one time I did have a problem my supplier stuck to her word and sent the package out again at no extra cost.

Pros and cons for both.

Ems is faster? When did this happen lol. DHL is always faster for me, around 5 to 7 days, although I did receive an EMS package in 3 days once.

Looks like you answered your own question on the 2nd part of your statement! lol.

UK times often vary for delivery for EMS....

I can pay for an order in China on day 1 - I can have the package in my hands DELIVERED on Day 4.

EMS takes 10-14 days + customs hold ups.... you are doing business the wrong way my friend

I'm afraid I disagree, by the time the item has been forwarded by the shipper and sent there is at least 2 days gap between these processes.

Then you have the 5 days shipping apparently.

Then the 24 hours they hold it because they dont know whether there are fees even if you call, then you cant pay until the letter has been sent out and so on OH and plus CUSTOMS holds for EMS pffff....
