I sent £200 to a seller on 28th and on the 31st he still did not receive? I sent it it in GBP and my bank said they would automatically convert it to USD.

He went away today for Chinese new year until the 22nd. He's legit though i brought some goods before and it took 3 days but I brought through my Lloyd's TSB account in USD.

I would rather be refunded the amount back, is there any chance I would get it back if the bank refuses GBP?

Western Union from now on!

Yes it takes 3-4 working days if sent to China.

Obviously don't forget that if there are weekends in between this doesnt count.

My supplier goes away from the 4th.... and NO I wouldn't set your eyes on WU unless lots of experience with the supplier.

TO ADD:

The bank won't refuse the GBP, they will just charge your supplier a conversion fee which would then make the amount you sent not enough for the amount of items you have requested as some of the funds will be used to pay transaction fees.

ALWAYS make sure you pay the fee for any international payments.

Get a Halifax account open, can send any amount over £100 to China for £9.50 - cheapest about.

Do Halifax do a basic account? Ta for that Davey. I will make one of those and use it for my Chinese payments in future.

Is western union a lot more expensive than £9.50?

Yes Halifax do an easyCash account and I dont know because I wouldnt touch WU
