Question about alibaba etc
 

Is alibaba dhgate and sites similar trustworthy for non vero items. ? Nothing to list in hi risk cat. Are they dependable to receive your merchandise? I found something That I wanted to purchase to try a to sell before I work on building my own site. I wanted to make sure I would get the products and how long is shipping usually to the us. Thanks

I have never purchased from them but do know many have been ripped off no matter what you buy.

Check the feedback and order small orders to see if they delivery on time quality products etc.

Just like any other purchase you really need to test them out before you buy.

I use Dhgate to place my orders couple times a month. Most ive spent on one order is $8000. I use two suppliers every time to source my items and everytime its great.

Of coarse it depends on the seller and ive been working with these 2 sellers for over a year now. So just check out the feedback and dhgate does escrow service anyway.

If you dont like the items, you can get a refund.

Hi I'm from Hong Kong and always buy in Alibaba/ Taobao (it's Chinese B2C site).
For Alibaba, the standard of suppliers vary. You may want to choose suppliers who pay annual fee to Alibaba, they are more trustworthy (the fee is around 4000USD per year). So they must be big suppliers. Try ask to pay via Paypal. For smaller quantities you may want to try aliexpress, same as above, the only difference is that it's more standardized in price and shipping fees, you have less bargaining power.

One footnote here, if you do wholesale purchase, sometimes the price in Taobao is actually lower than Alibaba/ Aliexpress. :clap:
