timdogge | 10-06-2013 10:53 PM | liquidation.com if i buy a vero item from this site, will the packing slip and manifest suffice to prove to ebay it was legitimately purchased? |
Re: liquidation.com It's hard to say, it's more like a 50/50 and what mood ebay is in. |
Sandy D | 10-06-2013 11:03 PM | Re: liquidation.com What makes you think it is vero? |
timdogge | 10-06-2013 11:05 PM | Re: liquidation.com thanks for the responses, i thought i had read somewhere that if you had paperwork from such sites you'd be all good. a buddy of mine got brought down because of selling the same item, but it came from a shady source. so we are trying to find legitimate sources. |
Re: liquidation.com I will take a wild guess and say Phone Cases...... |
GreenBean | 10-06-2013 11:12 PM | Re: liquidation.com I take another wild guess..............
clutching at straws.
OP, manage your own business.
Avoid going with the 'buddy' and getting trapped if he makes errors.
NO way is the forum going to give a blanket OK to your question.
Far too much lack of info
AND we do not need to know it either.

What makes you think they are vero items?
And what is legitimate sources of anything vero mean?
Just because you buy from a website like this does not mean you are free to do whatever you want.
If it is vero, it is vero period no matter who you buy it from. |
timdogge | 10-06-2013 11:22 PM | Re: liquidation.com im sorry but i feel like im being attacked. i thought this forum was a bunch of people helping each other.
a friend of mine made a newbie mistake of selling an item that was taken down due to violating the vero program.
maybe i dont fully understand what the vero program is or maybe im calling the item a vero item mistakenly...
regardless, the item that was taken down is the same exact item im looking at on liquidation.com.
like i said, i had read somewhere that buying from a site like liquidation and being able to produce legit paper work for that purchase, ebay would let it be listed.
Sandy, by whatever you want, do you mean there are other restrictions that come into play even if the item is authentic? |
Sandy D | 10-06-2013 11:37 PM | Re: liquidation.com You asked a question and you are getting the answers. No one is attacking at all. Your question seems like you want us to ok your purchase of items that you are not licensed to sell on ebay. And we are not going to tell you want you want to hear.
How do you know it is the exact same item? You cannot tell by a picture in any way shape or form.
You need to learn more about vero. The rights owner has the right to stop you from selling any item they want no matter what it is.
You need written permission from them to sell their item.
If it is phake and or wanna bes then you like your friend will lose your accounts real quick. Used to be many were able to do this but not much anymore.
Yes this site is full of some awesome bright people and we help tons of people. But what we dont do is help you find a way to cover your back if you do something wrong.
So do you want to sell legit items then? |
Re: liquidation.com Unfortunately we can't give you a 100% Yes or No....Even if you buy from liquidation site the Company who owns the product can still take down your listing if they want too. There is no guarantee and the only to see if it works is too try and sell the item and if they take down your listing, to provide them with the docs and Pray.... |

Sandy, by whatever you want, do you mean there are other restrictions that come into play even if the item is authentic? | The fact is, even if your items are 100% authentic, if the brand owner is a member of the VERO program and they do not want to allow you to sell, then you will have an impossible time selling their items on eBay.
And, while I believe liquidation.com to be a legitimate website, they may not be experts in detecting counterfeits. So, if eBay feels your items are counterfeit - even without your knowledge - they will still kill your account.
To be clear, my definition of VERO is NOT counterfeit - it simply means the brand owner is a member of the eBay VERO program. Obviously, my definition of counterfeit is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods not authorized by the brand owner. |
timdogge | 10-06-2013 11:44 PM | Re: liquidation.com thanks all, that was the part i was missing, that you need to be licensed by the rights ower to sell their product.. |

Many brand owners are VERO members. Some are very reasonable and will only remove listings they believe are for counterfeits of their product. Others would prefer their products never ended up on eBay at all. Burberry comes to mind. And still other brand owners who may or may not be VERO members could care less if counterfeits of their products are sold and never get involved with individual sellers.
Sometimes, you can approach a brand owner through the VERO program and get a listing that was taken down re-listed by asking their permission and supplying proof the items are authentic. Other times they will either not respond or just tell you not to sell their items on eBay.
So, it all depends. |

But to get a message across, it is better to be blunt.
ebay will laugh at you if you show them a piece of paper with words on it.
As such as we like friends, it can be a lot of trouble to do business with them
That is another point you must consider.
I know these items bring it lots of money but they are at a price.
VeRo is just that. Strict rules apply to sell it.

This is another trap for considering these items and selling them. |

I actually buy a lot from liquidation dot com myself and never once purchased a phake item.
But that does not mean they dont get pushed in by their sellers either so one has to be smart. OP mention they looked like real in the picture so that tells me he is still learning.
Buying from liquidation dot com comes with a price. Most of their sellers actually sell on ebay themselves and compete right back against you. For me I grab those auctions with little to no bids and can undersell their own listings. Some are not smart enough to change their pictures and use the same pictures on the liquidation site as their ebay site. |
Re: liquidation.com No way of giving 100% positive answer with eB/pp without knowing the item - even then, eB likes to boot out any suspicion of ⊗⊗⊗⊗.
In your shoes OP, get your legitimate invoices and push for the win - best of luck.
Report back with your success...or failure.
Liquidation.com might or might not be the best venue for receipts but worth a shot if account is in limbo right now. |
