Methods for International Shipping

I was looking at doing business (dropship) with a company that currently does not have practical int. shipping costs and possibly sell for them on eBay, etc.

Although I am not sure on what volume I will be doing. Could be 5 items a day, could be >100? Well I am going to need a more practical way to ship these items. First off I plan to buy a dedicated postage printer and possibly a scale.

Since I will be doing international shipping, I am unsure if all of the info will fit on one label, or if I will have to use several labels per int. item? (Trying to figure exact costs)

And then does anyone have any recommendations on what site/printer/scale to use for postage that would all work together well?

I know it is a scattered post, but am new to mass shipping and int. shipping as a whole.

You are dropshipping for them, correct? Be careful of international shipping - depending on the product and price (and niche)...you need to send with tracking and insurance.

Brother printer works well for shipping label as does the Zebra thermal (quite popular on the forum).

Thanks, that is pretty much what I was going for..

Although I may become a reseller instead of a dropshipper although I have not heard back from them.

Do you know if international insurance is flat like shipping costs? Like for me to ship an item to most of the world it costs $x, will insurance ($y) be the same, or are more countries more prone to have higher insurance costs just because (countries I should block..).

Insurance tends to be the same but costs do go up based on country. There are a few posts here about countries that some people here don't like dealing with...

Ideally you would be selective about what countries you are (not) going to use.

Your items will be part of the choice.

I wish insurance was a flat rate.
