Custom Charges
 

HI guys First of all would like to thank you all for helping me everytime.

I wanted to like buy few items in bit bigger quantity, from mostly Asian country's.

i am still a n00b and a beginner with some savings and looking to turn that into profit,

i tried searching online for custom charges but did not clearly got the answer,

can anyone tell how much do i need to pay if i import goods, example if i buy 10 items each cost me 50$ = 500$ around 305£'s.

how much duty or custom charges do i need to pay? and anything else i need to pay or do?

also i heard upto some amount there are NO charges could anyone guide me through all this?

A lot also depends on HOW the person who ships it to you labels/declares the product...

The thing is to make sure they declare an amount which looks realistic for the size of the package and whats in it.

Putting a lower value is easy peasy for vintage stuff because you could have bought it dirt cheap on EB or Craigslist or from a private seller. But not new or from a wholesaler which you can go to a website and check RRP.

VAT @ 20% + import duties %.

Import duties vary from item to item.

its saying that tablets are duty free is that correct?
